Shop Parts in this Guide

Assembly

1. Thread drain bolt into bottom of catch can.

2. Threat two (2) nipples into top lid.

3. Insert polyurethane tube into the two (2) 90-degree fittings.

4. Screw the 90-degree fittings into the side of the catch can.

5. Use the silicone hose to attach the catch can between the crank case ventilation and the intase system. Trim the hose as necessary.

Mounting

1. Using the two (2) provided allen screws, secure mounting bracket to top of catch can.

2. Mount catch can in a secure location as far from any heat source as possible.

3. If mounting on a turbocharged vehicle, catch can must be at least three inches from turbo heat shield.

Crank Case Vent Hookups

Catch cans generally intersect into one of three types of crank case vents before returning to the intake path. Those are the valve cover vent, crank case vent, and the positive crank case vent (PCV).

Valve Cover Vent Hookup

1. Locate the valve cover vent on your engine, which is generally a hose connecting the valve cover to the intake path before the throttle body or turbo.

2. Cut vent hose in a suitable location before the intake hose.

3. Using supplied connectors and hoses, connect one side of catch can to the intake side of the hose, and connect the other side of the catch can to the engine side of the hose.

PCV Hookup

1. Locate PCV valve on engine. There is a one-way valve installed inline from the intake manifold to the crank case vent.

2. Cut crank case hose in a suitable location before the intake manifold.

3. Using supplied connectors and hoses, connect one side of catch can to the intake side of the hose, and connect the other side of the catch can to the engine side of the hose.

Maintenance

Use the site hose on the side of the catch can as a reerence for the fluid level. If the line is over halfway full, it is necessary to drain it out. To drain the system, either unscrew the drain plug from the bottom of the catch can, or unscrew one of the nipples from the top and empty it that way.
