Description

Mishimoto's "No Questions Asked" Limited Lifetime Warranty

Run Cooler. The Mishimoto Ford Mustang Racing thermostat promotes greater cooling efficiency throughout your Pony's engine and significantly lowers high engine temperatures produced by modified and forced induction applications.

More Power. The Mishimoto racing thermostat opens up at a lower temperature 154° fahrenheit (68 C) than the standard OEM factory thermostat 190° fahrenheit (88 C) allowing the coolant to flow through the engine block sooner reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures helping to produce more power.

Application. This Mishimoto Racing Thermostat is specifically designed for use on the 1996 to 2004 Mustangs equipped with 4.6L V8 engine, including the GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, and SVT Cobra.

An easy install. Some gasket customization.

My new thermostat keeps my car cool, prior to changing it my car ran at about 220, now it runs at about 170. When building high horsepower engines lower temps are necessary to gain big numbers and it also promotes engine longevity. American muscle had my order shipped promptly and I had the thermostat in less than 24 hours. Overall this is an ideal product for anengine build. Small items are often overlooked but they can make all the difference.

Nice thermostat, but no stock fit.

Though this thermostat will open up at 154*, it doesnt fit as well as one would hope. The rubber seal that it comes with is a tad to large, and I ended up not using it. Thermostat does open up fairly quickly though. I would not recommend this to anyone just looking for a simple replacment thermostat.

    Moshimoto Makes Great Products

I bought this because my '01 GT was running a little hot. Moshimoto makes great products and i've never had any problems with any of their products. Soon to come is the Moshimoto radioator and fans, by then my pony will be running the perfect tempurature, which means more power :)

    Amazing the difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first car and i absolutly love it, it has been my daily driver for nearly two years and i enjoy it everyday, the one problem that i had with it was the original theromstat made the car run a bit hotter than what i was comfortable with the gauge sat at around the "a" in normal on the temp gauge and when you were sitting in traffic it would go even higher. i have been very cautious with when i hear a noise that isnt normal i have the car in the shop. and luckly for me the time came for me to fix the issue early in the northern Indiana winter, just as it started to get cold i took my car to fill it with gas and when i pulled out to go back home my water jacket on the original intake manifold failed, this meant a whole new upper intake and so on, so this meant a new thermostat as well, i can honestly say that this is an amazing product. i instantly noticed a difference in the way the car drives and feels, not to mention how it makes the car stay cool when you floor it just to hear the Custom Exhaust thats now coupled with the new Dorman Intake (that was also purchased through American Muscle) the car has more power and sounds meaner. and in the end stays cooler, i would say this is an very good upgrade for any car in any climate. if you do the upgrade you will notice an increase in your throttle response as the car heats up and overall feel in power.

    No difference

Not sure why but I installed this and I see no change in engine temerature at all. The guage is exactly where it was originally and the engine bay and engine seems as hot as it ever was.
