How to Install a MMD Chin Spoiler on your 2005-2009 V6 Mustang

Installation Time

1 hours

Tools Required
  • Philips Screwdriver
  • Floor jack and stands (optional)

BEFORE:

Installation Instructions:

1. The MMD Shin Spoiler can be installed without raising the front of vehicle, but it will be easier using a ramp, hoist, jacks, etc. Installation is also easier if you remove the front wheels, but it is not necessary. If front wheels are not removed, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right or left for better access to the wheel wells.

2. Be sure to clean the bumper area where the MMD Chin Spoiler will be installed and wipe the area with the provided alcohol napkins.

3. Find the two lower screws in the wheel well near the front tires. Remove them with your Philips screwdriver. Complete this step for the driver and passenger sides of the car. Be sure to save the four screws for re-installation later.

4. Position the MMD Chin Spoiler against the front bumper in the desired installation location. While holding the spoiler in place, install the two lower screws that were removed earlier to both sides of the vehicle. Do not tighten the screws at this time. This will hold the ends in place while you finalize the spoiler’s position.

5. Gently pull the front of the MMD Chin Spoiler down and pull the cover off the double-sided tape that was preinstalled on the spoiler. Spoiler should not need to be pull down much further than shown in the picture below.

6. Once all of the tape covers are removed, line up the MMD Chin Spoiler with the bumper. Carefully position it in the final desired location and firmly press against the bumper.

7. Install the two upper screws in both sides of the wheel well and tighten all four screws.

8. Ensure that the MMD Chin Spoiler remained in the desired position and inspect for a good seal between the bumper and the spoiler.
