Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a detailed overview and installation of the MMD by FOOSE Pre-Painted Side Scoops, available for all 2010 to 2014 Mustangs. So in this video, I'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect out of the MMD by FOOSE Side Scoops, as well as their materials and construction. I'll touch on the installation at the end of the video, which I'll also let you know upfront is a very simple one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter and won't require any drilling or permanent modification. The pre-painted MMD by FOOSE Side Scoops will be for any 2010 to 2014 S197 Mustang owner looking to get that retro nostalgic styling to the sides of their rides by picking up a set of side scoops with the pre-painted option to really customize the look of their exterior appearance. These MMD by FOOSE Side Scoops are designed by none other than the legend himself, Chip Foose. Now he said time and time again in our interviews that he really wants to design these exterior styling parts to really make it look like they came on the car from the factory. He really has the motive in mind that he wants to keep the lines and curvature of these parts to really blend in with the body style of the S197 and all other generations of Mustang in general. Now, of course, when talking about a set of side scoops and window scoops, and every scoop for the side of your Mustang, it's really reminiscent of the classic muscle cars that we expect from all the Mustangs. Now with that said, this design does modernize that styling a bit, thanks to Chip Foose, and, of course, like I said, blends in a lot with that S197 body style and really looks like it came on the car from the factory. Now with that said, Mr. Chip Foose obviously stayed true to his goal and made it look like it came on the car from the factory. This particular option also has a pre-painted loaded feature, which, of course, just means you can match the paint coat to really make it blend in with that body style and the custom color of your choice. Now if you're not interested in the pre-painted option, there will be an unpainted option available as well that you can get in that matte black finish. Now with that in mind that Mr. Chip Foose stayed true to his goal, we can actually take that a step further with the customization options. Now this one, in particular, is a pre-painted option, which basically means you have the opportunity to match your paint coat and, of course, get these paints matched directly from American Muscle's paint shop here in-house to have it matched to your factory paint color. Moving on to materials and construction here. This was manufactured out of a high-quality, impact-resistant ABS plastic. And I gotta say first hand, unlike some of the other options on the market this one really doesn't flex too much, so I can really feel the durability there, and that's something I'd expect from the MMD by FOOSE parts in general. Again, given it's a pre-painted option on the site, you can select your paint coat and get this paint matched to your factory colors. Of course, the one that you see here is the common UA paint color or just black. Now price-wise, if you are interested in the MMD by FOOSE option we have here, expect to be spending about 200 bucks. Now, in my personal opinion, not a bad price at all, given it is a pre-painted option here. Now, of course, if you go with the unpainted option, you can save yourself some money, but then you have to go through the hassle of going to a custom paint shop and to get it paint matched there. So ultimately the prepainted option can save you money in the long run. Shifting gears over to the installation portion of the video, like I said in the very beginning, a very simple job that does not require any drilling or permanent modifications to your vehicle, which, of course, is always a plus. Now everything will be included in the kit that you need. One thing you will need tool-wise is just a pair of scissors to cut the 3M tape strips to size. Getting things started, the first thing you want to do is use the alcohol wipes provided in your kit to properly clean the area you'll be applying these to on your side rocker panels. Now, of course, cleaning the area means getting rid of all dirt and dust to make sure that the 3M automotive tape will get a good bonding with the vehicle. So once you have that alcohol wipe job taken care of, use the adhesion promoter provided in the kit just to make sure the 3M tape gets a good bonding. It can be used year round. Once that's taken care of, flip over the side scoop and you'll notice there are pre-cut slots on each side here. That's where you'll be cutting to length your 3M automotive bonding tape. Once that's taken care of, take the mesh insert provided in your kit, peel off the 3M automotive tape that's pre-applied to that slot, and stick it right into place. From there, peel off all of the 3M tape on the back, apply it to your vehicle, and you're good to go. Overall, about an hour's worth of time in the driveway at home, considering the repeat process for the opposite side, and again, a three out of five wrenches of difficulty on our difficulty meter. Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2010 to 2014 Mustang and you're looking for a way to get an aggressive, nostalgic muscle car styling for the side profile of your S197, you might want to check out the MMD by FOOSE Side Scoops in the pre-painted option of your choice, available right here at americanmuscle.com.
