Hey guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a detailed overview and installation of the MMD by Foose quarter-window scoops in the pre-painted option of your choice, available for all 2010 to 2014 Mustangs. So in this video, I'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect out of the MMD by Foose quarter-window scoops as well as their materials and construction. I'll top off the video with the installation, which I'll also let you know up front, requires no drilling or permanent modification, so it gets a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. The MMD by Foose quarter-window scoops will be for any '10 to '14 Mustang owner, looking to get the retro styling of a classic muscle car added to their ride for added aggression and of course, getting that sleek pre-painted color of their choice for added customization. These quarter-window scoops and all MMD by Foose parts in general are hand-designed directly from the legend himself, Chip Foose. Now, he's said time and time again in our interviews with him that he really wants to create these parts, especially for the S197, to really look like they came on the car from the factory. Now with that said, he gives it the lines and curves the S197 body style deserves and of course, adds that extra modern and aggressive styling on top of it. Looking at the quarter-window scoops I have here, you can really see the nostalgic styling of all the classic muscle cars that sport into set of quarter-window scoops, like the Mustangs throwing back to the 60s. Now with that said, they have been designed in a more modernized style with smooth edges and of course, curved lines and as you can see, that rounded designed that Foose implemented here, but it really takes on the body of the S197. Now staying true to Mr. Foose's goal, he definitely implemented the customizable option of the pre-painted choice. What that basically means is, you go on americanmuscle.com and you can pick the paint code to match your factory paint color to really get that customizable choice to match it with your ride specifically. Now with all of that done right here in-house at American Muscle's paint shop, we also have a very durable material and construction. With that in mind, it's manufactured out of a high-quality, impact-resistant ABS plastic and judging by it firsthand, it's really got barely any flex to it, which is not something I can say from some of the other options on the market. So I can really tell, it's got a durable material and it gives off that aggressive design. Now as far as the price is concerned, if you're interested in picking up these quarter-window scoops from MMD by Foose, expect to be spending about $200. Now again, I don't think that's too bad of a price considering some of the other options out there, you get a durable material, a very custom-design by MMD by Foose, and of course, you get that pre-painted color option of your choice to make it blend in with your vehicle. Shifting gears over to the installation portion of the video, like I said in the very beginning, a very simple install that does not require any drilling or permanent modification. It'll be utilizing the 3M automotive tape you see right here. With that in mind, you will not need any tools, everything you need is available in the kit and of course, it gets the one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. So first things first, you want to use the alcohol wipes provided in your kit to properly clean the entire window area you'll be applying the scoops to. This frees it of any dirt and dust, and makes sure the 3M tape gets a good bonding, and can last year-round. On top of that, to double down on the adhesion, we've got some adhesion promotor provided in the kit as well, just to make sure that bond stays true and is good for whenever you want to take it off, but it doesn't come off before then. So once you have that taken care of, flip over one of your scoops here and you can see the pre-cut slots on the back, where you'll be putting the 3M automotive tape. Peel off one side of the backing, stick it to the pre-cut slots, and repeat that process for each one of the sticks. Once that's taken care of, you can actually apply this directly to the window by peeling off the other side of the backing and applying it directly to the vehicle. Once you have it applied to the vehicle, you'll notice there's a naked, front-end scoop here with no insert, that's where the mesh comes into play. You can peel off the backing on the 3M tape with the mesh stickers provided in the kit as well and stick them right into that opening to make it look like it's a functional scoop, even when it isn't. Once that's taken care of, repeat that exact process for the opposite side and I'd say about an hour's worth of time in the driveway at home will get this one done, so it gets the one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2010 to 2014 Mustang and you're looking to capture the aggressive, nostalgic styling of a classic muscle-car Mustang, you might want to check out the MMD by Foose quarter-window scoops in the pre-painted option of your choice, all available right here at americanmuscle.com.
