Superior Quality Materials. The body of this Moroso Air/Oil Catch is constructed from billet aluminum for strength and has a polished finished to complement your Mustangs engine compartment. The Moroso separator features 1/2" inlet and outlet fittings, and includes a 54" length of 1/2" rubber hose.

I have a 96 GT with a SR CAI. Do I connect one of the hoses to the CAI or the to the plenum/manifold intake?

  • The Moroso Air/Oil Separator (96-04 GT) will connect to the PCV on the intake tube. If you follow the link below, it will have detailed instructions on how to install this Air/Oil Separator.

Which side of the engine should this be used on? Seems like most of these photos have the separator attached to the passenger PCV, does that side tend to vent more vapor? I have no intention of buying 2 of these

  • The Moroso Air/Oil Separator (96-04 GT) can be installed on either the driver side or passenger side. One side will not vent more than the other. Some Customer Submitted Photo's feature a Mustang with a centrifugal supercharger on the passenger side. This is taking up space for the Air/Oil Separator, so it must be moved to the driver's side. You can install this Air/Oil Separator on whatever side you like.

Can I use this? I dont have an EGR on my mustang. Do I need this still? I understand that it uses the exhaust but since I don't have an EGR anymore I shouldn't need it right?

  • This air/oil separator does not involve the exhaust at all. This goes inline between the PCV valve and intake plenum. You could definitely use this air/oil separator.

what is the purpose of the bottom outlet? I installed this on my 00 GT this morning, just wondering what that piece is for.

  • The bottom portion of this air/oil separator is actually the draining elbow and opening valve. Hope this helps!

    No more blow by!!

I am very pleased and satisfied with Moroso separator. It looks good under my engine bay. And I feel more at eased knowing that I have it installed on my car to catch any blow by. Due to having the sn95 1998 mustang gt I had to have it installed on the side in front of my strut tower but I still have room to install the strut tower brace. Thank you again American Muscle for another quality product

    Didn't fit

Does not fit 96 gt because of the coils. Need to find another spot. Seems like a well made product though.

Great product does what it says

I bought the moroso air separator because its a direct fit for the engine and it looks great in the engine bay. I was very shocked on how well it's made. Very easy to install and well worth the price. A must for any turbo or supercharger mustang.

    Stop Burning oil

Called in to learn more about the product. Knew I needed it after taking my intake out and seeing oil pooling at the bottom of the manifold. Moroso's oil air separator has a release valve to release oil in the catch can and avoids messes. Took about 30 minutes to plug everything in place. Car runs smooth and after removing plenum 2 weeks later no oil in the intake. Moroso makes a great product and American Muscle delivers it fast.

Quality product with an easy install that does exactly what it says.

I have a 2002 Mustang 4.6L 2V. I wanted to reduce the amount of blow by and gunk in the upper intake and decided that I would try the Moroso Air/Oil Separator as they had just released a bracket to fit my year and make. When I received the package it was very well put together, the quality of the air/oil separator as well as all hoses and mounting accessories is excellent. Furthermore, the install was a very simple and did not require any special tools other than a screwdriver and wrench with attachments. The install took about 45 minutes and looks extremely clean in the engine bay. As for the actual functionality of the with almost everything else from this company it does what it says. After about 400-600km of driving I decided to empty it and sure enough out came a thick, foul smelling, black oil. Additionally, there is almost no gunk or oil buildup where the hose from the separator enters the intake meaning that the air/oil separator is effectively doing its job. This product will be even more useful to me once I have completed my forced induction setup.

    Great Quality, Great fit

First off, This is a really nice product. Quality and all. It fit in the engine bay and really looks good. It took me roughly an hour to install but that was due to a couple slight issues I came across. I have an '04 GT, and I don't know if it makes much of a difference but I think it did. I had to route the tubes much differently than showed in the directions to install this into the car. Also, I believe they made a mistake with the amount of 1/2"-5/8" couplings included. There should be 2 of them included. I had to reuse the stock pcv tube as a coupling because there was no other coupling included. Another thing is that the lengths to the tubing were way too long no matter how you bent them so I had to wing the cuts to the tubes to my own lengths to fit properly. To me, these weren't major issues because now my air/oil separator looks a bit cleaner and different than other people's. Overall I still give it 5 stars, the only thing I would add is another coupling to only use the tubing included in the box rather than reuse the pcv tube. Also, Thank you American Muscle for the one day shipping. I ordered it yesterday morning and got it the next day.

    Keep it clean

Great product! The fit and finish is very nice. Installation instructions are straight forward. I would recommend this product for all mustang owners, including all supercharged mustangs. It will help to keep oil from contaminating your intercooler and Intake manifold. It helps to reduce engine oil sludge and keeps your engine clean. I used A/N hose fittings to complete the installation. Best of all this product is made in the USA.

    Good craftsmanship

Moroso makes it easy to add a catch can to your PVC system with this piece. Good place to mount the can and better than a vented setup to keep the engine bay cleaner.

    great product

very high quality product, the only problem that I saw with it is that while it is sold to cover 96-04 cars, it only comes with hoses & fittings for the later cars (ie. 1/2" hose & fittings as opposed to the early cars which take 3/8" hose for their pcv system). other than that, nice part.
