Hey, guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the MP Concepts unpainted quarter window scoops for the 2015 and newer Mustangs. These are unpainted quarter windows scoops that have a little bit of Shelby GT500 styling behind them so they're gonna look a little bit different than some of your other options on the website. They're also currently the most budget-friendly option that you have. They cost just over $75. The install is very easy, I'll call it a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and we'll show you how to get these on your car now. Okay, guys, so the first step of your install is gonna be to take the supplied 3M tape and put it on the back of your new window scoop. Before we do that though, let's just take a quick look at this scoop. So this is made from ABS plastic so it's lightweight but it is really durable. It is unpainted so it's gonna ship to you just like this. You guys can install it just like this if you want to or you can paint-match it or you can actually paint it any color. A lot of customers do choose to paint these but that's ultimately gonna be up to you. So if we go ahead and flip this over, we're gonna be installing 3M tape on all of our flat surfaces here. So I have a pair of scissors, we're gonna go ahead take our 3M tape and measure out a couple of pieces so we can get it laid on the back of our scoop. So once again, we're gonna be putting the tape on the flat spots on the scoop. We're gonna leave the backing on the topside for now until we're ready to go ahead and apply this to the car. So I am gonna put two pieces side by side here just because our scoop is only gonna be held on by the 3M tape and I wanna make sure that this stays. You wanna make sure you trim up any edges that are over the edge of the scoop because you will see that 3M tape. Okay, guys, a couple things to note before you get your scoop installed you're gonna wanna clean the window with warm soap and water. You don't wanna use anything like Windex. You wanna stick to a warm soap and water mixture then you're gonna want to make sure the surface is dry. So the key here is dry and clean or else your 3M tape won't stick as well. The other thing to consider is the back of the scoop is unfinished. You guys can see it here. If you're worried about the unfinished look or worried about how it's gonna look from inside of the car, you guys can always get a blackout decal to go over the window first, that way you won't see any of this. So we're gonna go ahead and peel the backing off our 3M tape and get the scoop in place. Now, keep in mind that your scoop isn't gonna cover your window trim. It's only going to sit on your window. So you're gonna wanna make sure you line this up and have it sitting correctly before you press it into place. So right now, at this point, I am making sure that I am firmly pressing the 3M tape into place. Something else you're gonna wanna consider is making sure this has enough time to settle and bond really well to the window and that means no washing your car after this, no taking it through a car wash. I would just let it sit for about 24 hours. All right, guys, that's gonna wrap up this review and install. Keep in mind that you can always check these scoops out more online. I'm Stephanie and for all things Mustang, keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.
