Roller Rockers Will these fit GT40P heads with Cobra roller rockers?

nolan62

  • They fit the 3 bar GT40 heads with rollers. I'm not sure if the "P" heads are different, but I don't believe they are

Will these work ok with Aftermarket heads with Roller Rockers? Clearance ok?

A

  • The Chrome Valve Covers (289, 302, 351W) can work with aftermarket heads if combined with a 1/2" intake manifold spacer and a 1/4" valve cover spacer. This applies to larger ratio roller rockers such a 1.7:1. Note that the stock ratio is 1.61:1.

Question Resolved

What is there a hole in each of the valve covers? or is the picture of two right hand side valve covers?

BlueHatch89

  • You can use one of the Valve Covers to put the oil cap on. You can use the opening on the other Valve Cover for whatever suits your build best. Most customers use it as a breather.

Question Resolved

What oil caps? What oil caps or breathers do you use on these?

nolan62

  • You can use your factory oil caps with these valve covers. If you are looking for a Breather instead, I would recommend our Chrome Oil Fill Breather Item #41032 (http://www.americanmuscle.com/chrome-oil-fill-breather-86-95.html)

for the money best thing out there

I needed a cover that would fit over top of aftermarket rockers, and under the EGR mount on my 95gt, with a 1/2in spacer on the intake these were the only covers that would work for a decent price!

    Not bad at all!

They were a little warped on the edges but with nice gaskets there are no leaks. Always get compliments when I pop the good!

The covers were well worth what I paid. They went on pretty easily and look great. Good for anyone on a budget.

    Good For Money

For 50$ they look good with my polished intake manifold. Every once in awhile it loosens up a little bit, but all in all it's good if your on a college budget.

    Great fit, and PERFECT FINISH!

These chrome valve covers were put on my Sons 1994 Mustang GT while we were swapping heads and intake to Cobra/GT40 parts. When we opened the box, neither one of us could believe the shine, and "deepness" of the chrome! We were very surprised and pleased with the looks. Installation was a breeze, because the intake was off, the holes all lined up well, and the stock gaskets sealed after heating and re-tightening the bolts. I would recommend these valve covers to anyone who wants to make their small block Ford engine look better.

    Crome valve covers

Looks good only thing I don't like is 2 oil cap holes. Over all a good look had to slightly modify the inner cap to fit 1.7 rockers but happy!

    Fit perfect!!!

Bought these for a valve cover leak and they are much taller then stock and don't hit the alternator like the last one I bought on eBay did. I used a low profile oil fill cap on the driverside and a tall breather for the passenger side.
