Review & Install Video

Hey what’s up everyone I’m Justin with, and I’m taking a look at a mod that’s sure to freshen up the interior of any New Edge Mustang in a snap, I’m talking about chrome gauge bezels for your 94-04 Mustang. This is another one of those mods that Ford should have taken notes on. Once installed these trim rings look like they should have been factory equipment on every Mustang. The kit includes 6 individual trim rings that simply snap into place over your factory gauges, making for an easy install. Now you will have to remove your factory cluster, which really isn’t all that hard to do and should take you 30 minutes from start to finish. However as always if you have any problems or questions whatsoever, you can always refer to the detailed instructions located on this page. It is worth mentioning that these bezels are compatible with aftermarket gauge inserts such as reverse glow white face gauges. And if you’re really digging the look of the chrome and you want more, then you might want to check out our polished billet aluminum interior kit as well, for a show stopping interior. These rank pretty high on the old bang for your buck meter, for the money spent you can’t match the interior styling impact these give your New Edge Mustang, be sure to check them out.

White Face Reverse Glow Gauges. Give your V6-powered Pony's interior an upgrade with a set of Mustang White Face Reverse Glow Gauges. They feature a clean, retro-style white face during the day with easy-to-read, bright blue reverse glow markings at light.

Chrome Dash Rings. Add some retro appeal to your stock gauge cluster with a set of Mustang Chrome Gauge Rings. These rings will set off your new gauge inserts and give them a finished look that will set your Pony ahead of the pack.

Installs Over Factory Gauges. The gauge inserts install directly over the current gauges. You don't even have to remove the needles. And the chrome gauge rings require no glue or adhesives at all - they just snap right in for an easy, no-mess, no-fuss install. In less than an hour, you'll be able to show off the upgraded, stylish gauges in your Mustang.

Application. This Gauge Insert & Gauge Ring kit fits 1994 to 1998 Mustang V6s.

Technical Notes. May require splicing.

These gauges are very nice and add to the interior a lot. This is one of my first products for the inside of the car and it was a huge pain for me but I was dedicated to get this working. First, the chrome gauge rings go in from behind the bezel. I found out the hard way and I pulled the plastic cover while I was reading the instructions and I heard a loud crack and the top half of my plastic ripped off. I then looked closely to find out it was purposely glued. So I ripped off all the plastic and I went to the junkyard to look for one but no luck. I just put it in and you can't really tell it is missing but I would rather have it. I installed it all as the instructions said and when I tested it I found out the connection was bad so I dug everything back out again. I then keep trying different plugs from the headlight harness but I could not get a good connection so I decided to run the wire from the headlight plug it self from the front of the car. So I did that for positive and I used a ground off of the gauge harness itself. Then I put it back in and when I wanted to try it again it would not work. So, I pulled it again to see that the negative wire had been ripped. I reconnected it and watched my connectors and finally got it. Now they come on with the headlights and look great. I also had to remove the original gauges because the needles would not rotate correctly. I pulled the needles off but thankfully I knew where the pointer was pointed because they can easily be off a couple notices. Just be aware for the needles, connectors and gauge rings and it should work out. Good luck! Dark green 98 Mustang, Zachary Vincent

    Great looking product

I love the look of the gauges at night. Really sets off them for a custom look. The gas gauge and temperature gauge were too tight. Over all good and not too hard project.

You need one thing this package didn't include.. and that is a creative mind. :P You'll take out the gauge cluster, and then the cover off of the gauges. Make sure you remember where your gas needle is at, just in case you feel the need to take it off. If you, by chance, mess it up, go to the gas station before you bolt the cluster back in, and fill your car up with gas. that way, you can put the needle in the F position before you re-install it. If you want a good description, look at Zachary Vincent's review. I didn't have AS MUCH trouble installing it... but i used electrical tape and attached the negative wire to the metal behind the cluster in the car. I had to get the biggest size shrinking connector unit to get the power wire for the unit to attach to the headlight power wire.

Look great! A little bit of a pain to install

The gauges look great especially at night. You will definitely have to trim the holes out a bit to install correctly, especially the oil and battery gauge. Easy application overall. If installing on a 98 the hot for the lights is red w a yellow stripe. Also I used a little elictrical tape (it's what was handy ) and taped the corners down to make sure it stayed, worked great. Make sure to line you're tach up before putting the gauge cover back on!

The chrome rings do not fit. DO NOT BUY THE CHROME RINGS. the white gauges are nice but having to rig the rings to fit has left me with a broken plastic manifold.

    Chrome Rings

First of all Chrome rings are a pain to install as they DO NOT snap into place as they say. I ended up taking a razor blade and cutting thru the glue to take the plastic lens off. After that I filed down the "clips" and super glued them directly to the console. As much of a pain in the butt it was they still look sweet after it was all said and done.

Theas gauges remind me of my dads 68 shelby gt350. They were a bit differint to install. First for a reminder to all do not take off your origaonal gauges theas go right over it perfictly and dont need to remove the neadels. The coller of them during the day are white with blue. And at night is truly differint from all other cars. Worth buying. Now the crome ring kit is a bit harder to install. Do not and i repeat do not remove plastic cover they dont come off. I did it by accedent. They install from behind and if you want them to stay ferm go buy some supper glue gel. Apply on back part where the snaps go. This whole asembely is worth every penny and the wait to get.

First off the chrome does not snap into place so after an 1hr of trying to get them on i decided screw it i dont need you on. 2nd instructions dont say what the little knob is for. I'm assuming its an extra dimmer? So after 3 hours of doing this i gave up. Have to rewire so the dim will come on even though the positive is to the gray wire like it says and the ground wire is connected to the ground wire and no chrome bezels in. Great price, good looking stuff just to much work to do to get everything to work. Keep up the good work AM.

    Not the best

The white face cluster look good but the wiring that hook up to it dose not hold together very well had to solder the wires back to cluster face. The Chrome rings are plastic and the clip the hold to the bezel brake off and there are useless had to super glue them to it.
