Window clearance? How much clearance is there between the window when rolled up and the visor when opening the door. I ask because in winter here sometimes my auto-gap feature freezes and the window remains all the way up. Will the window hit the visor?

Jakes07

  • No. Not even close. The visor attaches on the outside frame, well out of the way of the window.

Will these still fit if I install Cervini's Quarter Window Covers? Item #72017 It looks like there could be an overlap at the corner where they meet?

Leaf

  • These visors do wrap around the back side of the window a bit, and the Cervini covers are designed to wrap the back side as well. It appears they won't both fit without trimming one or the other.

Looks good, but that's about it.

Doesn't fit the Mustang properly. Supposed to go onto the painted part of the car above the windows, but that is too high for it to shield rain from getting inside. For this product to be effective, it needs to be installed halfway on the surface between the paint and halfway on the material below the painted surface, above the window. This leaves a much larger area between the window and the vent, making it unable to vent and shield properly. Putting the vent's adhesive tape on that material could easily damage that surface. I love the way they look and how they add that something extra to the appearance, but it lacks in functionality.

I really like them...but maybe I got a bad cut on the size?

Overall I'm glad I bought these...they do a great job of shielding the rain if I want to crack the window to smoke. But for whatever reason, I didn't get to install them as flush as I had hoped. When I lined it up to match rear of the window, the front curve of the window was clipping the visor when I would open the door. I had to scoot them a little higher and farther back then what looks to be lined up, but it isn't that big of a deal...not worth the effort to tear them off and see about an exchange. Maybe I got the wrong size by mistake? I don't know...but overall I really can't complain.

    visually appealing rain repellent

These look visually appealing on dark paint like my 2008 bullitt. The fit is excellent and allows you to crack the windows slightly 24x7. If you clean the paint with rubbing alcohol amd ensure its dry before applying, these ventvisors hold up solidly to 130mph wind easy. i recommend these for anyone looking to add black accents around their windows.

    My GT

I was very concerned that these visors would probably blow off, or fitment was too high to be effective from the rain, but contrary to the fact these are outstanding! Great product, highly recommended

Stunning low profile look, works beautifully!

We've all seen these on other cars and trucks and thought what a terrible thing someone did to their ride. I've never seen them on a mustang before. I had a little extra money to burn and figured I'd buy them to be able to say I was dumb to get them. I was dumb to think they were a bad idea. They are formed exactly to the window curvature from the mirror to the back of the window glass. They do not flare out like on other cars and trucks. Aerodynamic, form fitted, and super low profile. Perfect! I have to point them out to people because they don't notice them. Then they realize how awesome the visors are. I have a membership to a car wash with the spinning contact sponge wheels and the visors have sat tight through half a dozen washes now, so seems very permanent. Now, I do have a black mustang, so that affects how much they stand out, but if you're not concerned about your body color, get these now! :)

    Absolutely doesn't worth the money!!!

First of all it's not very nice paste something above your mustang body painted. This product it's simply a bad cutted plexiglass blade, on its curves you can see many inaccuracies and on edges still the signs of the machine used for cut it. Very very bad, one the 50 bucks worst spent in my life.

    A personal decision

I got these with the hopes I can leave my windows cracked in the summer. The way the Mustang window is designed, these visors do not give you that capability. With the large lip at the top of the window, these visors actually line up with the window so if you crack the window an inch, you can see the window's open. I have Ventvisors on my Focus and do not have this issue. It's the way the Mustang is made. I honestly do not know if I will keep these on since that was the only reason I got them. I don't drive in the rain much, so that wasn't a consideration so I cannot comment on their ability to keep rain out. Just kind of bummed cause I know how time consuming it will be to get these off. Maybe next year.

    It's a Rain-Out

These sleek Smoked Ventvisors looks right at home on my Mustang. I was concerned this application. Would look bulky. Taking away the sleek look of my ride. But they are made so subtle. They flow with the lines of my Mustang. I highly recommend them.

    Perfect!

Easy to install and takes only 5-10 minutes. Looks great and works really well! The visors in the pic look rubber and a lot more sleek and aggressive (I did not receive the same exact style) eventhough I did not get exactly what I was looking for im still more than happy with my order.

    Look great, perform even better

These rain guards are perfect for keeping your dry in even the most treacherous weather. Install was easy taking less than 10 minutes. I was kind of skeptical about them blowing off but after doing a nice hard pull down the highway I was convinced the product won't be going anywhere.

    Does what it should

I put these on at my car wash - install is that simple. Just take your time and keep an eye on where you're sticking the visors to be sure they mount to the door frame and not the weather stripping. I installed from my knees so I could see the underside of the visors and be sure they were set right. A second set of hands with a light could be handy for this install, but it's definitely not impossible on your own. Just be aware that, while they will keep gentle rains out, if it's a storm or rain with lots of wind you'll still need to put your windows up - these aren't designed to keep water out of your car no matter what, you do still need to use common sense to protect your interior. But they will save you from moisture infiltration if it starts sprinkling or lightly raining before you can get out to shut your windows. I gave the appearance four stars because, while the fit is great, the tape (at least on mine) shows just a little tiny bit on both visors after they're attached, so keep that in mind if you're a perfectionist. I'm sure you can trim it if it bothers you that much, but it's so minor that I'm perfectly fine with it.

    Dry while raining

Installation was easy and I was finished with the install in less then 15 minutes. While its raining I dont have to worry about the rain getting into the car like it normally would without the AVS Smoked Ventvisors. I recommed this product to those who like to have the windows down even while driving in the rain.
