coil pack is worth the purchase. great product. great price.

these are great coil packs for your Mustang. Naturally aspirated or supercharged these will help your car idle smoother and give you quicker throttle response. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.

Performance Distributors S.O.S Plug Kit are the "Sultans of Spark!"

Hello Folks, I decided it was time to swap out my plugs and in doing so decided to add PD S.O.S Coil Kit. I have to say I was a bit concerned with whether or not this mod would make a difference, well let me ease your concerns. The mod is not necessarily a seat-of-pant in terms of HP, but an overall improvement in drivability. The first thing you will notice is quicker start-up time, throttle response, and increase in exhaust note. I have full SW Longtubes, no CATs, Flowmaster Hushpower Axlebacks, Steeda 100mm CAI, and BAMA 93R tune. All I can tell you is after about 100 miles of city mixed with highway driving, the mod is incredible. I got a nice boost in MPGs under normal driving conditions. In the city, I jumped from 16 to 17.5MPG and on the highway driving at 75, I was getting 24MPG. I have 3:73s so that increase was more than welcome. Under normal cruising, the motor purrs like a cat, hit the go peddle and the rush of G-forces is phenomenal. So you might be asking was there a hp/tq increase, I would definitely say yes!!! I purchased the NGK Iridiums and set the gaps to .55 just as the manufacturer suggested. Well worth $400

    2 Fails

I installed these and the fit well. Had one coil fail within an hour. AM were great and sent me a new set. I installed these and had a second fail within a week. I called AM and they sent me an RMA and shipping label and are refunding my money. I do not recommend this product.

    Great Product

Coils fit perfectly and perform well. They do aid in maintaining spark at higher rpm's when the stock coils seem to fall off a bit. You will not notice a "seat of the pants" performance improvement, but keeping a consistent spark through all rpm ranges is great peace of mind and an added level of performance for the amazing Coyote 5.0. The price is also much less than the competitors with more spark voltage...win, win in my book. I do recommend this product.

    Best Coil Pack for Coyotes

i could feel the difference as soon as i turned on the car. I had a misfire issue in my GT 2012 because i could hear something, a flutter, and rpm needle would bounce a tiny bit at idle (air off). I have stainless Jba longtubes 1 7/8, jba h pipe 3 to 2.75 , flowmaster oulaws, and jlt cold air intake with a custom tune. though i have these parts , i still feel this was a missing piece because there is richer, fuller, more confident power all throughout the band. my exhaust doesn't smell like fuel as much, i get more miles if im driving slow, and once again more power throughout the band. It's just a great investment. Buy them , you won't regret it.

    Recommended Upgrade

Takes 60-90 minutes to install. Slightly smoother idle than stock. Also, felt like slightly better acceleration and throttle response in all gears. Probably increased horsepower as advertised, but I'll hold on that claim until a dyno run. Even if it nets 10 RWHP, I would recommend this product for the price. PD SOS coils burn hotter and are less expensive than other coils on the market.

A little extra spark for a few bucks

The secondary wiring on these coils allows a bit more voltage at the plug. Not nearly the voltage gains seen when installing the Accel coils, but for less than half the price of the Accels, a reasonable compromise. I have not dyno'd the car after the install, but the idle does seem to be a bit smoother and start up a bit more immediate. As to their build and construction, they appear identical to the exterior of the stock coils and take approximately 30 minutes to install. I have heard of some longevity issues with these coils, but so far so good. And for a price point of $200, they are cheaper than purchasing OEM Ford coils if you should ever need to replace a set. I might modify this review in the future, but as of now, I recommend the SOS coils as an inexpensive modification to your ignition systenm

    More Efficient

These are decent upgrade over the stock coils and definitely more affordable then some other sets. I am noticing a small increase in my average mpg and and better throttle response. I would recommend this product.

    Best coils for the money!!!

Bought these a few weeks ago, AM managed to get them to me in Texas within a week of ordering them, install took less than an hr, no hiccups, they fit perfectly, just a simple swap. As far as performance these coils definitely make the 5.0 feel more responsive and the exhaust sounded a little meaner. These coils are hotter than both the MSD and Accels and are cheaper than MSD, Accel, and Granatelli. I highly recommend these coils both for N/A or F/I engines.
