Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Power Stop Evolution cross-drilled and slotted front rotors for 2015 and newer GT, EcoBoost, and V6 Mustangs. These rotors are available for standard GTs and Performance Pack GTs and EcoBoosts. You're going to be wanting to check these out if you're looking for an affordable front rotor option that's also performance-oriented. These cost right about 120 bucks, which makes them one of the most affordable options, and they're still slotted and cross-drilled, so you get that high performance and updated look from them too. I'll call the install for these a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and you can expect to spend about two hours getting these on the car. With this kit, you're getting your front rotors that are one-piece, cross-drilled, and slotted. These are a direct replacement upgrade, which means they're an upgrade over the factory rotors, but they're going to install like stock. Rotors like these can be used in many different applications, like for a daily driver, a street car, or even a car that sees track time or drag racing. Overall, these rotors are designed to reduce the Mustang's stopping distance and improve stability and safety when panic stopping. They're made to perform very well in wet conditions, and they're for performance use. They're backed by a 30-day, 500-mile warranty. So, if we take a look at the rotors, we can see right away that they're one-piece rotors, just like your factory rotors. Even though they are one-piece rotors, they're still made to hold up in performance applications. They're made from G3000-grade cast iron for durability. They have a high tensile strength, and they're machined to follow OE clearances. To finish them off, they are zinc-plated, which helps fight against corrosion, helps the rotors have a longer life, and keeps them looking nice.Of course, the rotors are both slotted and drilled, and this helps to keep them well ventilated and keeps the braking smooth. The slotting and drilling is a form of ventilation for the rotors. It helps to reduce brake temps and gives the gas and dust that's made during braking a place to go to. That keeps the braking surface clean, which allows you to experience a smooth braking operation with less brake fade due to lower temps, and less contamination from gas and dust. The slotting and drilling also helps with the performance of the rotors in wet conditions too. It keeps the water off the rotors and out of the way of the pads. So, when it comes to the install, it's not extremely time-consuming, but you are going to want to have a little bit of knowledge in order to do this yourself. I'm going to call the install a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. If you guys are interested in this kit, you can always head over to americanmuscle.com and check it out more there.
