If you're looking to freshen up both the components and the look of the rear brakes on your 2005 to 2014 Mustang, then the Power Stop rear calipers here might just be for you. Now the kit we are talking about in this video will only feature the calipers for the rear and not include any brake pads. So, interested buyers will need to consider a brand new pad once installing. Price point for the new one piece cast iron setup will be right around 200 bucks and the install will of course involve removal of the stockers along with bleeding the brakes, so therefore the site is going to knock this one up to a soft two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Maybe a couple of hours to complete from start to finish. All right, so let's face it guys, these S197s aren't getting any younger. And unfortunately, factory components or parts might be nearing the end of their life span depending on your mileage of course and your use. Now, Power Stop is a powerhouse in the land of stock and aftermarket braking components. And, thanks to those guys they've come through with a kit for the S197 owners looking to freshen up an old or seized set of rear calipers here, but for a very affordable price, while at the same time adding a little bit of bling in the form of that red powder coat. Now, in addition to freshening up old or worn out components, I would also think this is going to make for a great and affordable compliment to a set of bigger or upgraded front brakes, or even a set of stock Brembos if you have those equipped on your S197. If not, maybe you've upgraded to a Baer, a Wilwood, or something along those lines, you would like to upgrade the rear as well, well this would be a great, and again affordable option. But, whatever the case guys, let's talk about what you are getting here from Power Stop. And again, these are going to be a one piece cast iron caliper that had been remanned, gone through, and upgraded using high quality parts such as brand new seals, boots and lubricants before being finished off in the bright red powder coat that you're looking at right here, which by the way, far more durable than a traditional paint. Now, each caliper has been pressure tested before being sent out. And Power Stop even claims that these are going to meet or exceed the performance of the factory stuff that you would be replacing and even kick in things like your e-brake cable bracket on the back here. Finally, guys, they're going to toss in a three year limited warranty with each set of calipers just for a little added peace of mind.Installation, again, will require the removal of the factory rears along with the e-brake cables before moving on with the actual installation of the new Power Stop kit. This will also require you of course to bleed the brakes which all together will knock this one up to a pretty solid two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and a few hours of your time to complete from start to finish depending on your expertise and just how fast you like to work. So, in closing guys, if the rear calipers on your S197 are in need of some TLC, well then be sure to check out this affordable kit from Power Stop right here at americanmuscle.com.
