Power Stop Brake Rotor & Pad Kit

Brakes and rotors were shipped to me in a timely matter but my first set of front rotors were delivered with a chip on the inside of the rotor. (American Muscle was promptly informed and a replacement set was quickly provided free of charge.) Brakes and Rotors themselves were easily installed in my own garage and can be done by anyone quickly so long as they own the correct tools. The only issue i had with this produce was that the Shims were shipped to me incorrectly! the front Shims were shipped to me with the rear brake pads while the rears were shipped with the fronts. (Sealed in box from factory) I only discovered this after slightly forcing the rear shims to fit (with the assumption that they were correct) and realizing that the shims provided with the front brake shoes could in no logical way work to hold them in on the front calipers! Performance wise I have had no issues with this product, and while the brake quality is nowhere near as good as the Brembo's, they are significantly improved from the stock set and really improve the car's profile aesthetically from the side.

Much better than stock in many ways...

These brakes are working great, they stop way better than the stock brakes with silent noise free stopping power. I live in Hawaii and they also work better when wet. My stock brakes were rusting badly in less than a year. My wheels show everything behind them so these really improved the look and performance of the car. The color theme of my car is silver paint and chrome trim. These have a chrome look to them which fits. There is also way less brake dust so the wheels are cleaner for longer now. Great product!

    Brakes

I decided to upgrade my brakes on my 2011 mustang but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. These work wonderful, Stopping power has increased more then what I had expected. Would advise anyone that is trying to upgrade their brakes (front and rear) and don't want to spend 1500-3000 bucks, get these you will be happy you did. Installation took me about 3 hours (because I painted the calipers).

    Needed something cheap, Yet reliable.

I was thinking about getting the full DBA Gold X-Series Cross/Drilled rotors with ceramic brake pads, The full thing would have been around $800, But the front rotors were out of stock and I didn't want to mismatch the rotors... I decided to get these temporarily, As I needed them ASAP because my old ones were gone and just barely stopping my car. I didn't think these would be too good, However I can feel a big difference. I've used them for about 75 miles and they heat up super quick, They start smelling burned if you stop too quick. I don't like that and hopefully that will stop happening after some more driving, But I do recommend these. I was impressed, For the price I paid.

    Bargain Rotors

I bought these to increase stopping power, but I had them smoking after only a few runs of hard braking. Not sure if this is part of the breaking in process. but I thought they were going to burn up. I was slowing down from about 85, and did this about three time and they were hot as _ell. I am still looking to bembro or wilwood brakes as the final alternative. If ou dn't pln on hard use, then I recommend these brakes, but if you plan to go hard, then get a solis set with a 4 to 6 piston upgrade. Stopping is just as important as getting up to speed.

2011 v6 mustang power stop brakes

These brakes defiantly look great and stop on a dime. I would recommend these brakes to anyone that wants a little extra stopping power. I only have a complaint about the clips that hold in the brakes they need to be bent and were a pain till I learned that. Once you bend them they stay in no problem.

Found this to be pretty straight forward installation. Recommend viewing and installation video on line before installing these and it will go much smoother.

Stop on a dime, and save one too!

I have to say, I'm really impressed with these brakes. You get a really good bang-for-your-buck. The installation didn't take too long. I spent most of my time putting the car up on jack stands, and trying to figure out how to compress the rear calipers. (BTW, go to your auto parts store and rent the tool BEFORE you start the project). The fit was really good, everything slipped right in place. But a spring clip did break off one of the front pads. After I repaired it with a hefty pair of pliers, everything was ok. Initially, I wasn't too happy with the stopping power and pedal feel. But after putting a couple hundred miles on them, everything feels much better. There's not much of a noticeable difference in city driving, but when you're on the freeway it's easy to see the improvements. I also notice these brakes will squeak a little when they're cold and wet, a little more than stock anyway. Overall, I'm really happy, and would definitely recommend them.

    NOT FOR V6 PERFORMANCE PACK!

First off the springs on the front pads fall off... So I returned the pads and went with the Hawk Ceramic pads. I have a 2013 v6 Performance pack. For the 2013/14 (not sure about the 2011/12) the front rotors included is this pack are too small. The performance pack uses GT front rotors, so I had to return the front rotors as well as the pads. Was not happy that American Muscle didn't inform me of this when I called to ask before I placed my order. So rather than a 4 hour install, I had to wait an additional week to do my brakes. The rotors are great, keep heat away, and with 13,000 miles on the rotors as well as a lot of hard braking, no warping so far.
