Description
Perfect For Restoration. If your Mustangs power windows are becoming difficult to operate or are just making a lot of unnecessary noise, it may be time to replace those old worn out Power Window Motor Torque Pins.

Operation. Power Window Motor Torque Pins also referred to as the gear bushings, fit between the inner plastic gear and outer metal gear inside the window motor. They serve as a safety mechanism to prevent the motor from applying too much force on the window that could cause it to break.

Application. This set of three Torque Pins/Gear Bushings are specifically designed for use on all 1979 to 1993 Mustangs equipped with power windows, including the LX, LX 5.0, GT and SVT Cobra models. Sold as a set of three, does one window.

The right fix

My driver's side quarter window on my 89 convertible no longer went up and down on its own. There was still power at the motor and you could hear it trying to turn but it wouldn't budge without some help.

I always keep a set on hand.

These are the inexpensive cure for 95% of my power window issues. Never know when they will "save my window" and pop/crush. Especially on my vert 1/4 windows. Easy fix and good for another 5-10 years? Don't go jamming a bunch of grease in with them either - not needed. If you've never done it you might consider replacing the whole gear assy. It's not alot of money either. Plastic gets brittle eventually.

My driver's side quarter window on my 89 convertible no longer went up and down on its own. There was still power at the motor and you could hear it trying to turn but it wouldn't budge without some help. Picked these up and took the motor out. Cleaned the inside of the motor up and put these in. Good as new.

Great quality and will work for a long time.

These are exactly what I needed as the motors were fine. I've installed them and they work as well as replacing the entire motor assembly.

    Hurray - I hope!

I took apart the motors for the quarter windows on my '92 LX convertible and found lots of tiny plastic pieces stuck in grease. I cleaned out the pieces and bought some replacement pins at a local parts store. They did not fit. I read the reviews here and took the chance and - they fit! I have not been able to test if these solved the problem because the battery is not in the car due to other projects, but I have every expectation that these pins will function MUCH better than the 432,000 pieces from the original old pins I scooped out of the motors.

    Affordable Fix!

My quarter window motors were functional but could not roll up the windows because of failed bushings. I bought these. They are a tight squeeze to install but made the motors work like new!
