V6 pony I'm currently working on making a V6 beast, but exacly how much HP will it increase? the stated 75-80% increase is not helping much.

  • It'll give you somewhere between 253 - 261 hp to your flywheel.

Compatability? Is the ProCharger High Output Intercooled Supercharger System compatable with the SF3/X3 Power Flash Tuner, and if it is will I need to get a tune for it? Will I also need to get my Pony dyno tuned after installation for maximum performance?

  • Here's an answer that may help you. First you will need to have your vehicle re-tuned to get the maximum performance it has to offer once you add that much of a power adder. Now as far as the X3 is concerned, if the free tune updates are offered with that tuner model you can use it but It will be used by the tuner you choose to tune your car, so they can upload the file into your vehicle easily and cheaper. AM tuners may not be able to write you a precise tune for your car because there are so many variables that have to be taken into account and with them not having the direct input from your vehicle it's very hard. Hope this helps.

Will this work with underdrive pulleys? Is the supercharger compatible with the BBK Underdrive Pulleys?

Answer This Question I need this answered (4) (0)

I just got a 1997 Automatic V6 mustang, pretty much stock, execpt its got the BBK 2 inch lowering kit, and a BBK cold air intake.. If I were to put a turbo on there without anything else, would it blow my tranny? or cause any problems.. Im new to car modding, 32 need a new hobby, I want a V6 monster that can smoke stock v8s on the road, any advice? Thanks

  • You do not necessarily have to upgrade anymore parts though it would be a good idea to. You can always upgrade your internals to forged pistons and rods that have a lower compression. Also, upgraded rear gears will help the car take off better. It is also a good idea to get some stiffening suspension components such as a panhard bar, sway bars, and a strut tower. Question Resolved

upgrade clutch too i upgraded my clutch to the spec stage one would it be able to withstand the forces of this or do i need a stage two, i have also done a sct tune, true dual exhaust, cai, and some other small proformance upgrades

  • I would recommend upgrade your clutch to a stage 2 or higher to work in conjunction with the Procharger High Output Intercooled Supercharger System (94-98 V6) due to how much power the supercharger will put out.

Question Resolved

Do I need to buy anything else for this kit? I know it says its 100% complete, but sometimes there a small thing missing.

  • There is absolutely nothing you will need to purchase along with this kit. The only pieces you may want to account for are any bolts you will be removing that have to be reinstalled that may be rusted or worn. This would be a good opportunity to replace them.
