More Horsepower! The stock Cobra came with a decent 305 Horsepower and 300 lb/ft of Torque from the factory, but after installation a ProCharger-equipped SVT Cobra can make 60-70% more horsepower at the flywheel. Thanks to the industry’s coolest charge air temperatures, the unmatched power gains are delivered with maximum reliability and everyday drivability.

High Capacity Intercooler. If you have the desire to continue modding your Mustang even after adding a ProCharger Supercharger, then this is the Kit for you. The 3-core air-to-air intercooler included with the Stage II Kit has a higher capacity than the High Output (HO) Kit. This Stage II kit will accommodate additional modifications as you continue to transform your Mustang into the highest horsepower beast possible.

Complete Kit. The ProCharger Stage II Intercooled System comes 100% complete, and includes ProCharger self-contained supercharger, air-to-air intercooler, intercooler tubing, brackets, ProFlow bypass valve, ProPump fuel pump, fuel management unit (FMU) and a computer chip.

Required Upgrade. This ProCharger Stage II Intercooled System requires the use of Bosch style 30 lb/hr fuel injectors (not included). ProCharger recommends the use of Ford Racing injectors part #M-9593-B302.

CARB Certified. Best of all this ProCharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System is 50-state smog legal under CARB EO # D-365-3.

Application. This ProCharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System is specifically designed for use on the 1996 to 1998 SVT Cobra Mustangs equipped with the 4 valve 4.6L modular engine. 6 psi pulley for 1996-2001 Cobras requires cut-down impeller, which limits max boost to 8 psi on stock motors.

how much horsepower would a stage 2 procharge give 1998 cobra

  • It should give your Cobra about 500 HP. That translates to about 430 RWHP. I just finished installing it in my 1997 Mustang Cobra. Having a bit of an issue with the fuel. I think it will be fixed once I get it in for the tune or might be my MAF. The install is pretty straight forward and took me about 20 hour but I am not a mechanic and did it in my driveway.

    Feel the power!

    Got the dyno sheet. 474 HP 441 TQ at the engine. 403.23 RWHP and 374.88 TQ at the wheels. This was installed on a totally stock 1997 mustang cobra. The install has a few issues but that should be expected with something this involved. First issue Fuel pump did not match the pump in my car and had no fuel sock. I purchase a 255 lph that matched (thank You tech support). I planned on using the supplied FMU so I purchased the 30 LB injectors. Tuner recommended doing without the FMU. So I purchased the 44lb injectors and the SCT3000 MAF. The 44 lb injectors were 15% off on the fuel/air ratio one side. Any chance of sending them back AM? Tuner had some 60 LB injectors (Not overkill for this aplication) and got the job done. American Muscle was very helpful though the whole process and if they have the parts I need this is who I will buy it from. If you are looking for something that will make you feel the skin of your face pressing into your skull and the boost lifting the front end uncompressing the springs all the way this is the kit for you. Installed this kit in about 20 hours in my driveway. Might help to have a friend help you at least for the mounting of the supercharger and bracket. Also the booklet recommends getting three guages. Fuel pressure, Boost pressure, and a wideband air/air ratio guages. 1996-98 Cobras are very limited on the superchargers they can get and this is the one that comes with the intercooler. Even with hitting the gas pedal hard a few times looks like I am on track to get about the same gas mileage.
