Whats the diffrence between these and the redline tuning quicklift elite hood struts?

  • Elite is Polished Stainless Steel for a chrome look with Redline Tuning painted on side of tube in red and black, hardware is black powder-coated QuickLift is Black with Redline Tuning painted on side of tube in red and white with Silver Zinc-plated hardware (Hardware Looks Like Stainless Steel) To be honest I liked the look of the black tube with red/white lettering better and is what I purchased (QuickLift) and the price is much more reasonable at $70 as opposed to $120 (Elite) My QuickLift is a quality product, looks great and works as advertised.

This is probably the 5th hood strut kit that I have installed. Always straight forward, easy to install, and only takes about 10-15 min.

Why didn't I do this years ago

    April 06, 2013

These hood struts are excellent. They are functional and have given our Mustang Cobra a better look. I like the wide-open engine access you get without the prop rod in your way.The zinc-plated steel brackets could have been pre-finished in black. Good clear and concise instructions. Good job Redline Tuning

Great item, and works really well. I didnt think this would work too well with a Fiberglass hood, but works perfectly! I recommend this to anyone!

    The prop rod is dead

    January 02, 2014

This product is so cool. The prop rod is no longer an issue when working on the car. The installation, although not bolt-on by any measure, it is still very easy if you take your time and measure twice and drill once. Hint, with no drill guide to keep from drilling thru the hood, use a deep socket over the bit, worked great.
