Cool, simple to install, but...
The simple customer (not the complex manufacturer) submitted installation PDF guide (for proper connections), in conjunction with helpful (though not crucial) popular on-line instructional videos (like YouTube) on replacing 1999-2004 Mustang tail light bulbs (for visual step-by-step guide to accessing the tail light bulbs), made the process quite simple, using basic tools took about 20 minutes. These] red LED's looked very cool, producing deeper-red effect, but, were slightly dimmer than the stock incandescent (don't know how they compare to other brands), and flashed at slightly faster rate than the incandescent bulbs. I think the "flasher timer" unit, sold separately, would slow down the rate, but, am not sure how easy that would have been to install. Unfortunately, as my intention was to install bulbs that would be MUCH brighter than the incandescent bulbs, the red LED's were ever so slightly dimmer, although perhaps the white LED's might have been ever so slightly brighter. Still, as energy-saving replacements, they are comparable in brightness to the incandescent, even look nicer, but the brightness is not the 200 or more I was looking for.
When buying to enhance brightness, best to ask first, even though the return policy and courteous customer service are wonderful, still, asking would save time and trouble for everyone concerned. I also saw the (more expensive) sequential tail lights in action on another Mustang, looked great, but, if in the future I will buy them, per learning this lesson, I will however first inquire about the details that are important to me before committing.
