Question Resolved

Will roush hood scoop fit 05-09 Mustang?

Billdo

  • The Roush Hood Scoop - Unpainted (13-14 GT, V6, BOSS) will not fit on the 2005-2009 Mustang hoods as the 05-09's have a steeper curvature to the hood. The Roush Hood Scoop is for the less curved 2013-2014 hoods.

Fantastic Hood Scoop that people with notice!

I received the Hood scoop in a short time! I took it to my body shop and they sanded the blemishes and mold marks off before they primed and painted it. It was amazing how it transformed the total look of my 2013 Mustang! Now if it is sitting in a parking lot there are a lot of double takes when people see it. The paint shop said it was the best hood scoop as far as durability, quality and installation. I would have installed it myself but I thought it was best they took care of it. ROUSH is a RUSH! Great job to ROUSH and AmericanMuscle for selling a great product!

Ordered this twice and each scoop came in extremely rough - it is costing me an additional $200.00 to repair mold crease and holes. Sides are so rough they casn cut you hand. Had waited twice for scoop - gave up on second one and I am paying for repair. I hope the final result is worth it.

Poor Unpainted Finish - Bad Fit

Agree with Tom38 - "not very happy with the condition scoop arrived in, required a lot of preparation before being able to paint, scoops had several gouges in it that needed to be repaired" Additionally now that my scoop has been on for 5 months there is another issue. Both rear corners of scoop will lay flat on hood when it is hot outside and both rear corners will lift of the hood up to 1/4" when it is cold outside providing an unsightly gap between scoop and hood in cooler weather. Install instructions were followed to the letter and included template was used. Issue is placement of the studs on rear of scoop are not on rear corners but placed closer to center along the rear of scoop edge. Had studs been placed on the corners there wouldn't be an issue. It's surprising that expansion and contraction of the hood scoop in cold/hot weather could do this, but it does. This revue is not meant to be a dig at American Muscle, just on the manufacturer of the scoop.

Fantastic! Perfect fit. Best company for mods.

American Muscle is GREAT! Messed up on my accent stripes, (put them on upside down, I need to pay better attention to what I'm doing.) American Muscle is sending me another pair FOR FREE! You don't see very many companies do that anymore. I tell all my friends about American Muscle and how good they treat their customers. Over the next few months I'll be ordering at least $3000.00 worth of mods from them. I can't say enough about them. If you need a Roush hood scoop, I can assure you it will be a ROUSH, FROM roush. Ordered a Roush front grille, it's got the Roush logo all over the box. Their products are for real. They all work or fit perfectly.

    Sharp looking

Was my first mod on my second mustang and it definitely brings out the car. I have sterling grey with the black hood scope. I only wish since you drill into the hood there would be a way for it to be functional. But I'm happy regardless.

    Mustang Rousch Hood

This Rousch Hood scoop is awesome. Great quality and it gives your mustang an aggressive look. If you are looking to change your stick mustang I would recommend this hood scoop. It is an easy install, because you have the diagram to make the holes and it tells you where to place it!

The aggressive look a 2013 or 2014 Mustang needs.

Let's be honest the 13 & 14's lack design when it comes to the hood, it's right out "boring". This hood scoop sets it apart from all the others and it will change the look of your Stang dramatically. The Roush hood scoop will add an aggressive, yet sophisticated look, that other hood scoops won't. I recommend you take it to a shop to get installed because the stencil that is included is off. Other than that, I highly recommend this product.

Looks great, installation takes a bit over an hour to make sure the scoop is centered, besides that it's pretty straight forward install.
