Competition Styling. This Billet Aluminum Hood Latch and Pin Kit features classic retro 60's styling that looks great on the any 2005 to 2009 Mustang. This is the same style latch kit used by early drag racers on their Mustangs, only now with a modern twist.

Safety. A Hood Latch and Pin Kit not only looks great, but also adds extra safety to any high performance Mustang. The Hood Latch & Pin Kit securely pins the hood safely to the car to prevent the hood from lifting or flying off at high speeds, a must for all drag racers.

Won't Harm Paint. Extra steps were taken to coat the lanyards in flexible plastic to protect your hood's paint from unnecessary scratches.

Solid Construction. Made from durable 6061-T6 billet aluminum for strength, these hood pins are precision machined and brushed before being completed in a clear anodized finish for long life.

Application. This Billet Aluminum Hood Latch and Pin kit is specifically designed to be used on the 2005 to 2009 Mustangs equipped with the original stock hood or an aftermarket fiberglass hood. Looks Good and Functional

Install took a little longer than I expected, but it was not too bad. Getting the angle right to go through both layers of the hood was a little tricky. I had to use my angle grinder to adjust the hole a little on the top side, but they look good and work well. I also had mine Cerakoted black to match the accents on my car. Looks cool!

    Much Safer

My hood always flapped slightly above 95 or so, I guess it's justbecause of how it lips over, instead of sealing into the bumper like the newer 'stangs. So I bought these and put them on. Since, I've had not a single tremor through the body as the hood shakes, even when maxing the speedo out. And installing them wasn't too bad, other than being nervous about drilling through the layered aluminum hood. So I can easily recommend this product. Now to only catch the fool that keeps popping the pins out at work..

    Challenge- but worth it.

The hardest part of this install is aligning the pins to and measuring them to the right height-- at the same time. Every time you adjust the height, the alignment of the pin in relation to the hole in the hood is changed. It takes patience. The most nerve racking part is drilling the holes in the hood-- a step drill is best after a pilot hole. The hardware is quality. The pins look great and having been to the track before and after the install, they do a great job of keeping the hood down snug at high speed. I definitely recommend this product- both for looks and the practical improvement to a lighter weight hood.

Replacing fake pins with real ones now that I got my new hood

I had the new 4 inch cow Cervini hood installed. I had them take the fake pins and put them on the new hood until I could get the real ones installed. I have already mounted the hardware under the hood. I have my body shop doing the holes in the hood next week. I didn't feel comfortable drilling holes in a $1000 hood. I did everything up to that for them. I am sure they will look great. The only thing I didn't like was having to make the holes in the radiator cover. The templates don't tell you where and how to lay it. It took some common sense and some checking to make sure I put them in the right spot. I was very close. My holes are a little larger than I planned. They look fine. I recommend you do a small hole and then put it on and make sure you are lined up right and the hole is not to large and centered. I made a copy of the template on my printer incase I screwed up. Thanks AM!

looks super bad, which is good

pretty simple install for the most part. I drilled the first hole through the hood, then did some measuring on the other side to make sure it was exactly the same as the first hole. Looks REALLY awesome.

    It looks awesome

I had to do a small little mod to the install cause I did not wanted it on the same spot that they were meant to be. But overall it is a good quality product, the package was all messed up when I opened it, but all the parts where the so no biggy.

    Look killer

It was a pretty sketchy install but you have a decent bit of wiggle room. Throw out thier instructions and use the ones posted by a member under the Shelby pins. I got a ton of compliments.

    Extra Safty

I had bought it because I plan to buy a carbon fiber hood and wanted the extra security. How ever I like the quality and look so much that I might install it on my stock hood and keep it a bit longer.

    AWESOME PIN'S!

THE BILLET ALUMINUM HOOD PIN KIT is awesome. Fixed my fiberglass hood problems. My hood moved in the wind and would lift like an inch. these pins hold it down perfectly.

    Great Hood Pins!

These hood pins are a great product that not only gives the Mustang a more aggressive look but also provides a great safety feature. I had a shop install these and they charged me $75. Before these hood pins were installed I noticed my hood was shaking around 80 mph on the interstate. After I had these pins put on the shaking stopped. I've gotten a lot of looks from people after having them put on too. With these hood pins you get a good appearance mod plus a safety feature. The price is definitely worth it!

    Looks Awesome

This item looks awesome ! couldn't be more happy ,it actually looks better in person. The install was super easy the only issue I had with the product was the screws it came with to mount it to the hood were a little to short, I had to use longer ones but other than that great product American Muscle always has the best stuff !!!

    billet hood pins

This product really dressed up my 06 Mustang GT. A little tricky to install because the mounting plates placed the holes in the hood ended up on a non flat surface. Just take your time, don't get in a hurry and end product looks amazing.

!st off it took me a lot longer then it should have because I took another bolt the same size and put it on the mill to make me a guide bolt for the drilling. Also the way I have my Cervini's grill mounted caused me to have to take the front clip off the car. But my Mustang is just one of my toys and I like to play with my toys. After all that installing the whole assembly was a breeze. Though I which the hood pins were drilled at an angle so the Latches layed more evenly with the hood but if it really gets to bothering me I'll just make my own hood pins. All in all very satisfied. I have an after market fiberglass hood and the Hood Pins system make me feel more safe that the hood will stay on at speeds above 95mph. The added cool factor figured in there somewhere too.

    Too nervous

I totally recommend this product, they really look good. As far as the installation, after a week of debating wheather I had enough nerve to drill holes in my hood or not I broke down and had them installed better safe than sorry.
