2008 Ford Super Duty 6.4L Truck Extreme Tune with EGT Sensor Kit

This addendum provides additional information on the installation of the Livewire EGT Sensor Kit and is intended to be used with the installation/user manual provided in the kit.

There are two major differences in regards to the installation; the drill/tap location of the hole for the EGT Sensor and the area to route the cable through the firewall. The procedure for drilling and tapping will remain the same as noted in the installation/user manual. Please refer to the images below for the updated drill/tap locations on the 2008 Ford Super Duty 6.4L truck.

Option 1: Drill the hole into the exhaust Manifold as per the user manual.

Option 2: This is the preferred location for the EGT sensor. It is also preferred that you punch the hole to 11/32" diameter, rather than drilling. Mark the punch at 11/32" diameter and make sure not to punch the hole any larger than 11/32". You may want to slowly enlarge the hole as you go. Do not drill the hole in this location unless you are proficient in tapping the hole or you may have trouble starting the threads. Drilling and tapping in this location should be left to a professional. You may find it easier to tap the punched hole.
