Installation

SNOW PERFORMANCE SOLENOID UPGRADE - #40060

The Solenoid Upgrade is used if the nozzle is mounted after the throttle plate (to prevent siphoning under vacuum conditions) or If the nozzle is mounted below the reservoir. A Solenoid Upgrade IS always recommended anytime a rear mounted reservoir is used .

  • Solenoid MUST be installed between the tank and the pump.

  • Install 1/8" NPT quick connect fittings into solenoid using methanol resistant sealant. Tighten fittings one half turn past hand tight.
  • Solenoid is flow directional. Be sure to note which port is the INLET and which is the OUTLET.
  • After picking desired solenoid location, measure and cut tubing. Cut tubing using a razor blade and make cuts as square and perpendicular as possible. A slanted cut may create a leak.
  • Fully insert end of tubing into quick connect fittings. Firmly pull on tubing to ensure a full and secure connection.
  • To remove line, firmly press in on fitting ring to disengage locking clips while pulling tube from fitting.
  • Connect one solenoid wire to pump power wire coming from controller or relay. The pump power wire is the one that connects to the RED wire on the pump. Connect other solenoid wire to a good chassis ground.·
  • Continue with system install and check for leaks as indicated in kit instructions.
