Description
SR Performance Lowering Springs. Installing a set of SR Performance Standard Rate Springs will lower your Mustang's center of gravity, which will reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. These springs not only improve handling, but they also improve the appearance of your Pony by lowering the ride height approximately 1.5" to eliminate that ugly "4x4" tire to fender gap, for a more aggressive street stance.

SR Performance Caster Camber Plates. After installing a set of SR Performance Springs on your Mustang you will need a proper front end alignment. SR Performance caster camber plates will allow you to fine tune your Mustangs front end geometry to prevent premature tire wear while improving steering input and response, turning your Pony into a real corner carver.

SR Performance Strut Tower Brace. Eliminate unwanted chassis flex and body roll in your Mustang with a SR Performance Strut Tower Brace for improved handling. This Strut Tower Brace is made from super strong, aircraft-grade 4130 chromoly alloy steel to keep your front end from flexing under the torque of your motor and it is completed in an attractive black powder coated finish for durability, corrosion resistance and impressive under hood styling.

Recommended Upgrade. When installing new springs you should also replace your old worn out rubber Spring Isolators with a new set of Polyurethane Spring Isolators, see drop down option above.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your factory size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle’s pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Application. This SR Performance Lowering Spring, Caster Camber Plate & Strut Tower Brace Combo Kit is designed for use on the 1994 to 2004 Mustang GT Coupe. Does not fit V6, Bullitt, Mach 1 or SVT Cobras.

I have a 2004 40th Anniversary Mustang GT "Convertible" will this kit, the SR Performance Strut Tower Brace Lowering Spring Kit - Black (94-04 GT) work on my car. I also purchased my 17 x 9 and 17 x 10.5 Wheels from AM. I'm going with 255/45-17 front and 315/35-17 rear

Plan to buy the SR PERFORMANCE STRUT TOWER BRACE LOWERING SPRING KIT (94-04 GT). Though what shocks and struts do you recommend to go with the SR performance pack? I was looking at the KONI STR.T REAR SHOCK (94-04 GT and the KONI STR.T Front Strut. Would I be able to combined these with out issue?

    Great Upgrade

    This is a great mod for your car. The lower stance looks awesome and the car handles much better. The strut tower brace tightens up the front end. The car corners much better and body roll is reduced. The caster-camber plates are a must have when lowering the car. Install is hard work especially the springs. If you have a local shop that can do the work then that's the way to go. Also, your cowl vent grille will break when taking it off. I was so careful and my car has been kept in the garage, but it cracked as soon as I put a little pressure on it to get it out...so order a replacement cowl vent grille so you can complete the job.

    Pretty good

    I am pleased with way this kit turned out and it was not that difficult to install, only took about 4 to 6 hours. All the directions were clear. The only issue I have had is the rear springs did not sit level with a little more than 1/4in difference but nothing some ingenuity can't take care of. The handling has improves drastically especially with corning with the strut tower braces. For the money I do recommend this product.

    Great bundle !

    This bundle is great if you're looking to save some cash but still want to see noticable improvement in your mustangs handling. Now I won't lie, it took longer than expected to install the springs. There are no instructions for them and I ended up putting the rears in the front by accident. With mistakes included I was probably 12 hours of work into the spring install, which was disappointing, but the look and the feel more than makes up for it. And for all the people on the fence about this product because of the apparent "harsher ride" don't be. The ride stiffness is barley noticable and you will be thanking yourself because the car looks better and handles better all around. The strut tower brace is just down right sickkkk. Install was a breeze with the instructions and it looks mean under the hood. Cc plates went on easy as well, getting the shop to tune them was a must as well as my car has ever handled this well. Seriously, buy this package, and help erase the misconception that all mustangs can't handle!!

    Great Product

    This kit is amazing! I have a 96 GT and I am a daily driver. I could tell the difference right away after I installed it. I would highly recommend this kit to all mustang lovers!!!

    Aggressive stance!

    Car looks great sitting lower. Some slight modifications were needed to make the strut tower bar work. Being the 3.8 V6, the intake is a lil bigger and slightly in the way. Few taps with a 5 lb hammer... It fits!(bottom of cross bar, not the intake!) Ride is good, definitely corners better. Again, being the V6, the front springs sat a lil higher than I wanted. Removed 1 coil from bottom and it is perfect now. Didn't really affect the ride loosing a coil either. Good deal, I recommend it!

    the kit works well together.

    Wife complains about the ride how it is a little harsh because of the springs but it handles great. Haven't had time to install front strut brace because you have to drill into window cowl. Nice powercoating finish. Caster chamber plates make it easy to align on point.

    SR handling package

    I was unfamiliar with the SR brand but really liked the price point. After reading other reviews I decided to pull the trigger. After further looking into this product line I found that it's the same as the name brand stuff just without the name brand price. SR Performance FTW!!!

    Awesome Kit! Would Buy Again!

    THis kit offers an aggressive look with the car being lower. The handling upgrade is phenomonal with the Strut Tower Brace. Be sure to spend time modifying the firewall cover to fit the brace flush on the firewall. A dremel tool may be a necessity as it was for me to fine tune the cuts I made in the firewall cover. The springs were very easy to install. DO NOT BUY/RENT A SPRING COMPRESSOR! Rather use your floor jack under the A-arm and slowly lower the A-arm while the tie rod end and caliper/rotor are off the front end. I had no problem installing the springs with the jack. I bought the spring isolators from SR as well and it was perfect. You'll want them. I also had issues with my exhaust pipes clanking against the frame rail when I lowered the car. I would recommend looking at your exhaust system before you lower the car so you will know if you need to take it to a custom exhaust shop afterward for some pipe bending.
