Ask a Question

styling bar vs wind screen There is 2 models of wind screen on the market and I would like to know if this styling bar fits for both models. Thanks

bobbie178 Year: 2007 Model: GT

  • We only carry one wind deflector, see attached link below, that I can speak about in regards to proper fitment. The MMD deflector will fit and would be a great complement to the styling bar!. As for any other brand deflectors, they should fit but we wouldn't have a way to confirm that.

  • Cervini's has styling bars on their models with the speedster covers as well. I dont think you'd have an issue.

    Stack Racing Bar

I pre-ordered this for Father's day, thinking it would take a little bit of time to arrive, it came within 2 days. WOW. The installation instructions guided me to a very easy install. I ordered the non wired one, who needs a 4th brake light anyway. I do wish I could use it to have a dome light in the back, though. Only issue I had was with the template to cut the trim panels, it didn't line up for me so I didn't use the template.

    Better than advertised

I was apprehensive about adding the styling bar to my 2007 GT. First, would I have the mechanical ability to install the bar without ruining my convertible? Second, do I really need to spend another $269.00 for the part? The answer to the first question was a resounding "yes". Other than dropping a bolt into the frame and having to purchase a replacement, the installation was as easy as it could be. (A suggestion for drilling through the backseat trim panels: I coated the top of the mounting bracket using a Sharpie, positioned the backseat trim panel in it's proper place, pressed down, pulled the panel back off, and on the non-showing side was a mark of a half of the circle. I then drilled the hole out from the non-showing side. Both sides were perfectly aligned.) Second, $269.00 was well worth the money. My extremely cool looking grabber orange GT looks even more cool (and I did not think that was possible.) I should have added the styling bar to my Mustang a year ago. As an added bonus, I ordered the bar on Friday night, and received it on Monday without paying additional shipping. Thanks American Muscle.

    Stack Styling Bar for Mustang

I installed a Styling bar on my 1998 and a Saleen Light Bar on my 2001 mustang convertibles. The last one took me all of a Saturday. The Stack Styling bar took me just over 1 hour and it looks just as good!!! Very impressed with the easy installation. Good Job !!.

Not perfect but well worth the $$

I recently purchased a 2010 convertible Mustang V6 and immediately started looking to fix it up and this styling bar and the accompanying windscreen was the first purchase I made. The bar arrived quickly from AM however I was disappointed to find a dent in the bar big enough to show the foam support. A quick email to AM and they set me up to return the damaged bar and sent me a new one very quickly. Excellent customer service! When then new bar arrived I installed it and found a few tips very helpful: 1. Put a towel over the speakers to protect the magnets from metal shavings when you drill the holes in the body. 2. Once you get the bracket installed, DO NOT tighten the bolts up immediately. Install the bar and THEN tighten the bolts. Take the bar back out and then proceed with the install instructions. 3. I found that the 2” hole to be WAY too large and could possible cause you to see the hole in the panel even once the bar is installed. What I did to solve this problem was I drilled a hole in the panel down into the center of the mounting bracket hole and then used a drill bit as a router to carve out a hole to the exact size as the mounting bracket. The bar fits exactly down into the hole and looks perfect. Cons: The bar doesn’t sit 100% completely flush against the panel. It doesn’t look terrible but you can definitely tell there’s an issue (at least I can). Pros: Once the bar is installed, it has a mean, sleek look. The instructions were great but, as stated, I thoroughly disagree with the instruction to drill a 2” hole in the panel. I would use an alternative method. If you have the windscreen, this bar completes the look.
