SR Performance Lowering Springs. Installing a set of SR Performance Progressive Rate Springs will lower your Mustang's center of gravity, which will reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. These springs not only improve handling, but they also improve the appearance of your Pony by lowering the ride height approximately 1.5" to eliminate that ugly "4x4" tire to fender gap, for a more aggressive street stance.

SR Performance Strut Tower Brace. Eliminate unwanted chassis flex and body roll in your S197 Mustang with a SR Performance Strut Tower Brace for improved handling. This Strut Tower Brace is made from super strong, aircraft-grade 4130 chromoly alloy steel to keep your front end from flexing under the torque of your motor and it is completed in an attractive black powder coated finish for durability, corrosion resistance and impressive under hood styling.

Recommended Upgrade. Anytime you lower your Mustang, your rear axle gets moved out of alignment. Adding an Adjustable Panhard Bar will not only center your rear axle, but offers great traction during straight-line acceleration as well as superior strength over the factory panhard bar.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your factory size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle’s pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Application. This SR Performance Black Strut Tower Brace & Lowering Spring Kit is designed for use on the 2005 to 2014 V6, GT and Bullitt Mustang Coupes. Does not fit convertible models.

Springs Technical Note. SR Performance Springs will only fit 2011 to 2014 GT and V6 Coupes when used in combination with Ford Racing M-18183-C upper strut mounts and M-18000-A dampers (sold separately).

Strut Tower Brace Technical Note. Some 2007-2009 V6 Mustangs may require minor modifications to assure proper clearance of the factory coil pack boots. Will not clear BOSS 302 Intake Manifold or Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger.

  • The SR Performance Strut Tower Brace & Lowering Spring Kit - Black (05-14 GT, V6) will be able to work with the Ford Performance BOSS 302 Intake Manifold (11-14 GT) item #50179 (www.americanmuscle.com/boss-intake-manifold-2011gt.html). In the customer photos on the Ford Performance BOSS 302 Intake Manifold (11-14 GT), you will see that there are some of the 302 Intake Manifolds that have SR Performance Black Strut Tower Brace (05-14 GT, V6) item #383959 (www.americanmuscle.com/black-strut-brace-2005.html) installed with no clearance issues.

Do i need to replace a factory boots "bump stops" for this build?

  • The SR Performance Strut Tower Brace & Lowering Spring Kit does not require the new bump stops be acquired. As long as the original bump stops are intact and can be used, new bump stops will not be required.

Will these springs work with the stock factory shocks and struts?

  • The SR Performance Strut Tower Brace & Lowering Spring Kit - Black (05-14 GT, V6) will work with factory shocks and struts. Though, it is a good idea to upgrade your shocks and struts in the future. This is because your stock shocks and struts are designed to work with your factory springs. Lowering springs on factory suspension can cause excessive wear.

    SR springs and strut brace

    very pleased with this product. I put the SR springs and the SR strut brace on at the same time and it felt like a completely different car, also giving it a great stance. lowers the front perfectly just wish it lowered the rear about a quarter more of an inch then it does but that's just my personal opinion. overall both great products especially for the $$

    The springs eliminated the body roll almost 100 percent and the trust brace keeps the nose down around the corners recommend for anyone who daily drives their stang!

    Good middle ground between price and performance. Other kits may be more complete but a far more expensive. This kit gets the job done at a good price.

    Noticeable improvement

    Really changes how you drive your car. The lowering springs and strut tower brace really tighten up the steering and gives you a more responsive feel. No more nose dives while braking and not near as much body roll. And also seems to give you less understeer and will give you a little more confidence when your coming into a corner hot. This is a great first modification to your car!

    Awesome upgrade

    I've owned my '05 Mustang GT since new. It only has 28,875 miles on it and this is the first significant modification I've made. What a difference! The springs lowered the car almost 2 inches (advertised as 1 1/2") and their "progressive" rate soaks up small bumps (no more hopping), so the car rides smoother. But, when pushed you get into the stiffer part and the car handles like it's on rails. The strut tower brace increases steering response so much it actually feels like a different car. Best money I've ever spent.

    Excellent item

    I like it because it looks more stout than others I've seen that only lock onto 2 bolts, this one is sturdy and takes less than 15 minutes to install. Went on easy and looks fantastic. you can feel the stiffness when you take it on turns. and even straightaways you can a tell a difference. i have a 2014 v6

    SR Performance Strut Tower Brace & Lowering Spring Kit - Black (05-14 GT, V6)

    This was one of my first buys for my 06 gt soon to be followed up my some major mods and WOW. The Ride and handling on the car is sutch a big differance you will notice it right away, not only from a stance point in the way the car sits( Looks Good with Stock Rims with that 1.5" drop) but also in how it goes through the corners( Nice tight front end drives into corners no dipping). I purchased the recommended pan hard bar from S.R.P. for the adjustment in the back end. A recommended alignment is also required( Better For longevity of tires). Took About 3.5 Hours i panted the calapers and touched up on underneath paint, great look with the deep Blue springs fits nice with factors shocks and struts very easy with basic hand tools. The Black finish on the strut tower brace gives a sleek, clean look for under the hood( i wasnt looking for bling, going for the sleeper car)

    much improvement

    It took about 3 hours to install. It took a little longer because some of my bolts were rusted, and I didn't want to snap or strip any of them. The acceleration and braking improved, the stance even on stock rims looks good. The car doesn't want to roll in corners as much. I'm sure the brace helped some also. I was expecting a rough ride after, but even my wife said there wasn't much of a change.

    improves ride

    I had some difficulty getting it to just go on had to use some metal bar for leverage to get it on right. Once it was on it has changed the feel of the ride it seems a lot more stiff and has a bit more control. The springs I haven't put on yet but feel they will make the ride come all together.

    SR Suspension and Strut Brace

    The SR strut bar is a simple way to make your ride a lot smother by tightening the two front wheels you can feel the difference the second you get the car on the road the instillation took me 20 minutes with hand tools, its simple just remove the bolts from the top of the strut tower and than lay the strut bar over the bolts and tighten the nuts the same way they were before. For the lowering springs i would recommend taking them to a shop and letting the experts handle it but if you're like me and would prefer to do it yourself just make sure you have or rent the right tools for the job and it should take a few hours and to be on the safe side just bring your car to a local shop and make sure the wheels are aligned Im not sure if I messed with the alignment durring my install or the potholes in NY got me but it's just a way to check for safety overall this kit definitely gives a bang for your buck by giving the car a smooth tight feeling as soon as the cars back in the road! Overall great mod for your mustang!

    Easy

    It took me and my dad approximately an hour and half to install all of the springs and brace. We found that you do not need to remove the brake rotor or caliber. We did this project on jack stand with absolutely no problems. Car handles great and looks alot better. Would highly recommend

    Fantastic

    Got this kit and added the koni shocks and struts. Awesome feel hugs the road, perfect drop not too far, and best handling the car has ever been pics to come. Put it on my GT/CS 07.

    Amazing product, great handling!

    I origanally bought this product for looks, because ya know, who doesn't love their stang to be nice and low to the ground. But, once I installed, the handling of my car felt like a whole new car! There is very minimal body roll, no nose dive when braking hard, and the front end barely raises when I floor it. Overall the car feels more grounded can grab corners very well. Very pleased with these lowering springs and strut tower brace!

    So glad I bought this.

    So I was tired of the appearance of my wheel gap and the nose dive of my mustang when making sharp turns and this combo pack helped out with both. It took maybe 5 minutes to install the tower brace and couple of hrs to install the lowering springs using a small hydraulic jack, the factory jack and some basic hand tools. Would have been great to have stands or even a lift but hey you gotta use what you've got at the time. Was a pretty easy install all things considered.
