How to Install a SR Performance Rear Upper Control Arm on your 2005-2010 Mustang

Installation Instructions
1. Remove the lower portion of the rear seat by pressing back on the seat while pressing on the release clips under the front edge of the seat
2. Remove the control arm bolt (18mm)
3. Lift rear of Mustang and place jack stands securely under the frame. Do not place the stands on the axle.
4. Place jack under the rear end for support
5. Remove the control arm bolt (18mm) near the rear end. The jack will help to support the rear end at this point.
6. Remove the other two control arm bolts (18mm)
7. Support the fuel tank and loosen the strap bolts (13mm or Torx Plus IP50 FTX50TPE )
8. Lower tank so you can remove the upper mount and control arm
9. Remove control arm from mount (18mm)
10. Lubricate the face of the polyurethane bushings
11. Install new control arm in factory mount with gusset up and grease zerk down. Hand tighten
12. Install mount in car and tighten to 85 lb-ft
13. Tighten bolt that was located under rear seat to 129 lb-ft
14. Install rear seat
15. Tighten fuel tank straps to 38 lb-ft
16. Rotate rear end until you can insert bolt in mounting hole
17. Lift rear to ride height
18. Tighten control arm mounting bolts to 129 lb-ft
19. (If equipped with grease zerks) Using a grease gun, apply one full pump of silicone-based grease made for polyurethane to each zerk. Add one more pump of grease after three hundred miles and every four thousand miles thereafter. Overfilling could lead to premature poly wear.
20. Double check everything, lower vehicle, and enjoy improved performance!
