Description
Improves Handling. Improve the handling performance of your S197 Mustang with a SR Performance Sway Bar Kit. Sway Bars, sometimes referred to as Anti Roll Kits, reduce body roll through increased design stiffness over the factory bars. The result is superior handling, flatter cornering and better stability in any driving situation.

3-Way Adjustable. This SR Performance Front Sway Bar features three (3) adjustment positions for fine tuning the handling balance of your Pony to suite your driving needs from mild to wild.

Superior Quality and Materials. SR Performance manufactures their Sway Bars from cold-formed, high-strength aircraft-grade steel for precision performance, and completes them in a black powder coat finish for great looks and long life. The front bar is a 36mm diameter tubular design, where the rear bar is 25mm diameter solid design.

Application. This SR Performance Sway Bar Kit is specifically designed for use on the 2011 to 2014 coupe and convertible Mustangs, including the V6 and GT. Also fits 11-12 Shelby GT500 models.

What is the reccomennded lubricant for regular mainenance? Are the bushings polyurethane? Im assuming then it would be a lithium based lube.

Notso

  • You must use super grease on any of the polyurethane bushings. You grease the bushings before you assemble the bushings on the bars.

    A definite improvement!!

I've done 90 percent of my aftermarket business with American Muscle and not once been disappointed. With this specific piece It don't break the bank and gets the job done. My car will soon be equipped with a full SRP suspension. My mechanic does my installs so I don't know the difficulty of it.

    Great!

Had these on the car for about two months now and they are great. They really help to control the body roll. I have nothing else done suspension wise and my car is very responsive and handles very well. Keep in mind that a good quality grease is necessary. I tried several different kinds and the sways will squeak unless the grease is properly applied and worth anything.

    True performance

The sway bars go a long way in keeping the tires flat against the asphalt in the tightest turns. They are a great addition to my eibach pro series Springs. And the sale price helped in the decision on my choice of sway bars.

    Sway bar

The installation took longer than I expected. Because getting the front sway bar out took the longest. But over all it is a fantastic upgrade.

Solid improvement - lighter on the wallet!

For its price, I was excited to just get a simple gain. But I was amazed at how much I could improve my turn in, and fix the understeer that comes stock. I am also lowered 1-1/2" from SR Performance Springs, and these bars helped keep it sturdy. I started with the front as loose as possible, and I ended up moving them to their middle position to tune it to my liking (I do a lot of autocross in a purely amateur level). Definitely worth the purchase!

Great set for a great value.

My lower mustang handles better with this kit. Got this item on sale, so it was worth the money I paid for. Recommend to all Mustang owners looking to reduce body roll.

Even on the middle setting you feel a great difference

I put the front one one the middle setting and it feels nice and tight, also the corners are smooth as butter. you really get a good bang for your buck

    Great product

The front bar went on with out a hitch. The rear however was a different story the supplied hard ware for the ends of the sway bar that bolts to the shock bracket on the axle tube was a horrible design. It does away with the factory bolts that clip in the bracket and can be tightened with out a wrench on the back side, to regular bolts that will make you hate life. You have to hold the metal plate push the bolts thru and try to start the nut all at once and was very frustrating. I had to unbolt shock on drivers side to even remotely have a chance of getting the bolt started. I set the front bar at softest setting to try and dial out the horrible under steer the car has stock. I couldn't believe the difference... The car turns in, and responds to my commands with a lot more confidence. It was a great fairly simple mod that made a huge difference

The installation is straight forward and takes about 2 hours with a lift. The black finish makes it look stock which is great, I like it that way!
