Stainless Steel Heat Shield. Steeda knows that hot air is bad for combustion. That's why they have included a heat shield made from 304 stainless steel to reduce the intake temperature to within 5-10 degrees of the ambient air for more horsepower.
Application. This Steeda Cold Air Intake with Carbon Fiber Inlet Elbow is specifically designed for use on the 2005 to 2009 GT and 2008 to 2009 Bullitt Mustangs equipped with the 3V 4.6L engine. A computer re-tune is required for operation.
Technical note: Installation of this CAI requires the use of a SCT SF3/X3 PowerFlash or SCT LiveWire tuner to reprogram the on-board computer for the Cold Air Intake.
