Steeda Finned Differential Cover - 8.8in (86-14 GT, Mach 1; 07-12 GT500; 93-98 Cobra; 11-14 V6)

Engineered By Ford, Improved By Steeda. Engineered by Ford as original equipment for the Shelby GT500 and Boss 302 Mustangs, this innovative differential cover was designed with cooling fins to reduce overall gear oil temperatures and to increase rear end housing rigidity for improved gear set and bearing life. Steeda has then taken this unique cover one step further by installing fill and drain plugs for ease of maintenance.

Finned Aluminum Reduces Heat. Constructed from light-weight cast aluminum the Steeda Mustang 8.8" Differential Cover features a finned design that dissipates heat much faster than the stock factory unit to prolong the life of your ring and pinion gears.

Recommended Upgrade. When changing your differential cover it is recommended to upgrade to fresh Royal Purple Synthetic Gear Oil. You will need 3 quarts of Gear Oil.

Application. This Finned Steeda Differential Cover is designed to fit the 1986-2014 Mustangs equipped with the 8.8" solid axle rear end, including the 2011-2014 V6, 1986-2014 GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, 2007-2012 Shelby GT500 and 1993-1998 SVT Cobra. It will not fit 1999-2004 Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) equipped SVT Cobras.

Technical Note: The O.E. application of this cover has the axle vent on the axle cover. All other 8.8 rear ends have the axle vent already installed on one of the axle tubes. Use the included vent plug to fill the vent hole on the cover and continue to use the existing vent on the axle tube.
