Description
More Power. A set of Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Cylinder Heads are the perfect way to increase the power and torque of your daily driven or street Mustang. These performance heads deliver about a 10:1 compression ratio on the stock factory short block, depending on the piston used.

Twisted Wedge. The increase in power comes from Trick Flows unique Twisted Wedge combustion chamber design that moves the intake valve to the opposite side of the camshaft. The benefit is a dramatic increase in mid-lift airflow and increased piston-to-valve and valve-to-bore clearance that allow higher lift cams and larger diameter valves to be installed without the need to alter bore size or flycutting pistons.

Features. These Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Cylinder Heads feature OE PI-style intake inlets, patented Fast As Cast intake/exhaust runners that deliver near CNC-ported airflow, fully CNC-profiled combustion chambers, bulletproof 3/4" thick decks, four-bolt replaceable cam bearing journals, full 3/4"-reach spark plugs, 1.840"/1.450" valves, powdered metal valve guides, ductile iron valve seats, lightweight chromemoly retainers and die-forged locks, beehive valve springs, and Viton fluoroelastomer valve seals.

Application. These 38cc Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Cylinder Heads are designed to be a direct bolt-on performance upgrade for the 1996 to 2004 GT Mustangs with the 4.6L 2-valve Romeo or Windsor V8 engine. Technical Note: Accepts all Romeo and Windsor valve covers plus most stock style Ford front covers.

Q & A (1 Questions, 1 Answers) Ask a Question

What is involved in putting a set of trick flow cyl heads on my 4.6l mustang. I need to keep the compression ratio low enough to work with the vortech supercharger that is already installed on the car. Max boost is 6-8.

  • Then you will want to get the 44 cc heads to help keep compression low. You'll need to pull the motor, pull off old heads, get a head changing kit that includes gaskets/parts needed to install, replace parts/preventive maint parts so you won't have to get in there again, probably bigger injectors (ask your tuner what injector size he recommends) and a dyno tune

    Trick Flow Heads

I installed these before AM had them available so I did not get them from AM but I thought I would review them anyway. These are awesome heads. With these heads, stage 1 cams and a professional products intake manifold, I gained over 100 HP at the crank. Well worth the money.
