Product Features

  • Dyno proven 21.5 RWHP increase
  • For street or track
  • Easy port & plenum fine tuning
  • Uses stock engine accessories
  • Fits 1999-2004 4.6L GT Mustangs
Dyno proven performance gains.   This polished finish Typhoon manifold has been chassis dyno proven to produce 21.5 more rear wheel horsepower than the stock factory manifold at 6,500 rpm and more torque from 4,000 rpm on up (with a cam upgrade).

Three Piece Design. Not only is the Typhoon intake manifold compatible with stock engine accessories (such as alternator, pullies, etc.), it's constructed as a three piece design to allow easy access to the bottom and middle of the plenum chamber and the runners for additional port and plenum fine tuning.

Uses stock engine accessories. The Typhoon manifold is a direct bolt-in replacement for all 1999 to 2004 4.6 2V engines and uses the stock alternator and other stock engine accessories.

Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that this intake manifold has to offer, a cam change is highly recommended. American Muscle recommends Comp Cams Stage II Xtreme Energy XE270AH Camshafts for the 1999-2004 4.6 2V Mustangs

Application. This Typhoon Intake Manifold is designed for the 1999 to 2004 4.6L GT's and can also be used on 1996-1998 4.6 GT engines if 1999+ heads are used along with additional modifications and required parts.

Technical Notes: The stock intake manifold bolts are too short and the nine bolts supplied in this kit must be used. The two stock bolts that go through the thermostat area of the manifold can be used. The four bolts holding the upper plenum to the manifold are too long and you must use the supplied kit bolts.

this manifold looks great and installs easy. I am no mechanic but was able to do the install myself because of the detailed instructions. The car now runs great and i did notice a horse power increase. I also added the professional products plentum and throttle body to complete the intake and what a difference definately worth the money

Ive got a 2000 GT with cobra suspension, brakes, bumpers, and interior. Running 3.73 gears, and a cold air intake. This install was just problem after problem.1) Aluminum is soft and it wants to strip VERY easily and the bolts that it comes with are aluminum so when you torque everything you must go slow.2) There's no heater core hose..theres just a hole so I had to rig it for now until I either get to weld it in or use a tap and make some threads.Other than that I cant complain performance wise because it feels the same and i dont have any other mods bolted on yet until I get a TB, tune, and cams. Great looking but just a pain in the butt. Worth it? Yeah I guess
