    • Better Throttle Response
    • Twin 60mm Diameter
    • High Quality 356 Aluminum Construction

Feel the Power. Replace your SVT Cobra or Mach 1 Mustang's restrictive stock 57mm throttle body with this top of the line twin 60mm unit from Accufab and get your DOHC the air it's been lacking. This upgrade will greatly improve your Pony's throttle response and is the perfect starting point for future modifications.

Better Air Flow for More Power. This Accufab Twin Blade 60mm Throttle Body increases the stock airflow from 1089 CFM to an impressive 1284 CFM to produce a dyno proven 10 more horsepower on a factory DOHC 4.6L Mustang, with modified Pony's seeing much larger power gains.

Exceptional Quality. Accufab's quality is second to none - this throttle body is CNC machined from 356 billet aluminum, and the exterior is polished to an eye-catching finish. The shafts are also CNC machined from stainless for durability and quality, and they use only the best components for unparalleled reliability and performance.

Application. This Accufab Twin 60mm Throttle Body is specifically designed as a direct bolt on for use on the 1999 to 2001 SVT Cobra and the 2003 to 2004 Mach 1 Mustangs equipped with the DOHC 4.6L V8.

Technical Notes. Idle Speed should only be set by adjusting the Throttle Position Sensor. DO NOT adjust any screws on the Throttle Body. These screws are pre-set at Accufab.

I was wondering of there is any response to the hanging idle issues or complaints that the cruise control cable wouldn't fit on these throttle bodies? I've read these complaints about most the aftermarket throttle bodies for mach 1s. Is there a fix for these issues, is it installer error, or computer re-learn? Some clarity on these common complaints may sway my choice to buy one. Thanks.

    • We have seen occasional issues with the Accufab Twin 60mm Throttle Body having a hanging throttle body, and they seem to fall into one of two distinct issues. The first is a simple fix, where the TPS voltage is off and needs to be adjusted. The second is a defective unit, which, once replaced, corrects the issue. This usually stems from a throttle body where the idle was not set properly at the factory.

Does this fit with JLT Next Gen CAI? Will this throttle body fit on my 01 cobra with a JLT Performance Next Generation Cold Air Intake on it? Are power gains noticeable?

    • It should work with your CAI, and yes, you will notice an improvement in performance.

The product looks great and is an easy install. I like how it comes with better screws for MAF. One thing is on Mach 1`s there needs to be a set of washers or a small plug to clost the gap between the bracket for shaker and TB.. the blot tightens to the bracket but because of the gap still bewtween the bracket and throttle body the bolt wont tighten the top left corner of the TB.. Please look for this on your Mach it is probably why its whistling!

      Neat looking product

Very stylish and effective. Highly recommended over stock for certain. ** 03-04 Mach1 owners please advise** The stock bolt for your shaker (the base mount) has to be used in order for this to go on correctly. You need a deep socket wrench to get the bolt off as its VERY secure in place and cannot be reached by an average socket wrench, do yourself a big favor and get a deep socket. The rest of the bolts come off fine and do not require a deep socket wrench.

      revved up idle

After installing the throttle body the rpm's will jump up to 3,000-3,500 rpm's without touching the accelerator. I have to hit the gas pedal to knock the rpm's back down. Everything checks out on the computer. Was able to try a new TPS and idle air control valve with no luck. Hate to eat $350 bucks. Anybody have any suggestions?

      Great replacement!

I purchased the Accufab TB for my Mach 1 because my stock TB was corroding for whatever reason. Looks great sittin there all shiny, makes the engine a little more throaty, and improves throttle response. One thing though is mine makes the intake whistle a little bit... I dont know why but it goes away after about a minute when the car is cold. Great price AM, I searched everywere. Wish you sold ARH, those are next!

      Beautiful but disappointing!

I have lusted for an Accufab for quite a while! My BBK twin 62mm is fine but has the stiff throttle they are known for. That really makes it hard to get reaction times! So I sprung for the Accufab, excited when it arrived, opened and whoa, it had scratches in both throttle bores! Some deep! AM was great, sent an RMA and shipped another asap! No 2 arrived, it had the same scratches, just not deep into metal! AM was great but I expected better QC from Accufab!

      accu fab throttle body

The throttle body is fine the only problem i have with it is the throttle is getting stuck. You have to hit the accelerator several times to get it to go back to an idle.

      2004 Mach 1 Procharger P1SC @ 8lbs

Was having surging/hanging isle issues and finally after a weeks of messing around I came to the conclusion that there was a leak in my stock throttle body. It took a few hours to set everything up. They tell you not to mess with any screws on the throttle body as they are already adjusted but the idle set screw wasn't even close for me. After adjusting the idle set screw, the TPS voltage, resetting the ECU then letting it learn the idle over again for about 10 minutes my car now runs much better. No more surging/hanging idle problems. The throttle feels stiffer and response is better but I didn't feel any difference in performance. No whistling from the throttle body that I could hear over my P1SC.

Install was quick and painless! Set this up with a CAI and a tune, now my car is a totally different animal! Definitely noticed power gains and even like being able to hear the engine breath.

      Brace Yourself

Great product! I love it! BUT... WARNING!!! Hope you don't mind spend the time and money buying and trying IAC restriction plates to get your idle fixed. Open the throttle 1/16 of full and my rpms would shoot to 3k and hang there for quite some time, then almost stall out and eventually settle down to a little over 1k. Needless to say the check engine light came on. (engine idle speed higher than expected) id the code description. Even after a new flash tune and a IAC a regulator it still idles around 1-1.1k and hangs for a bit around 1.3k after cracking the throttle open.

      • Response from AmericanMuscle

It sounds like you may have a defective TB unit. I would suggest contacting Accufab directly to further discuss what is happening with your Mustang and they should be able to help resolve the issue. They prefer to handle their warranty claims directly and can be reached at (909) 930-1751.

      accufab TB

As stated by most, easy to install and looks great over stock TB. I'm also experiencing a 'whistle' like sound when getting on and off the throttle. Quiet at idle (even when cold) and cruise speeds. Much improved throttle response over stock TB. two times on my 45 minute 'test' run after installing the throttle 'hung' around 2,000-2,500 rpm while sitting at light w/clutch in. Quick blip of the throttle brought it back down. I'm hoping the 'stick' and 'whistle' go away after a few more miles of driving. If not, I'll contact Accufab.

      Easy Install

I put this TB on the same day as the C&L CAI to save some time. Whole process took 20 minutes, and well worth my time. Quick and Easy bolt-ons for brutally stock Cobras.

So i just tried to switch out the BBK 65 mm throttle body that has a high idle issue with this accufab 60 mm in a hope to fix that problem, but while i was trying to install it the TPS was to small to fit into the new throttle body, so i had to put the BBK back in until i find the right size TPS but i've looked all over and cant find anything. Is this suppose to be a direct fit and if so why doesn't mine fit??
