Performance Handling. aFe engineered their Control Series Lowering Springs with performance handling in mind. Featuring a linear spring rate front and a progressive spring rate rear these aFe Lowering Springs will drop your S550 GT's center of gravity to help reduce squat during rapid acceleration, body roll in the corners and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. aFe Control Series Springs are a great choice for daily driving, street, and even occasional track use.

Muscle Car Stance. These aFe Lowering Springs not only improve the handling performance of your GT Mustang, but they also improve its overall appearance. By lowering the ride height approximately 1.5" (38mm) up front and 1.25" (31.75mm) in the rear these aFe Control Series Springs will eliminate that huge tire to fender gap, for an aggressive muscle car stance that looks awesome prowling the streets.

Better MPG. Independent testing has shown that lowering a car's ride height improves aerodynamic efficiency by forcing more air over the car and less underneath reducing drag. This aerodynamic efficiency results in higher top speeds at the track and better fuel economy on the highways.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your factory size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle's pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Application. Made in the USA, this set of four aFe Control Series Lowering Springs are specifically designed for use on 2015-2018 GT Mustangs equipped with independent rear suspension (IRS), including fastback and convertible models. Does not fit V6, EcoBoost or Shelby GT350.

Technical Note. The Springs are not compatible on vehicles equipped with the MagneRide Suspension.

1 Top Rated Question

I just ordered a new wheel and tire setup for my 2016 GT. Would there be in rubbing with the RTR Tech 7s running 305/35/20 on the rear and 265/35/20 on the front?

  • There will be enough clearance with these lowering springs to clear the rear tires to safely drive your vehicle without concern of rubbing.

    Great Ride

These Springs have a great finish to them. The front Springs are pretty darn stiff but they don’t seem to be ruff on the street or freeway. The progressive Springs in the rear keep the ride smooth. Pleasantly surprised so far. They’ve still got 190 miles to settle in before an alignment but so far, so good. Getting the front Springs compressed onto their struts was an absolute nightmare for me. I ended up taking the front left strut and spring to PepBoys and let them mount it for me. I lowered my ‘10 GT on Roush Springs and it wasn’t nearly as hard to do. Every thing else about the installation went very smooth. If you’ve got the extra cash, they’re worth it.
