Justin: The Amp'd Throttle Booster here will appeal to the 2005 to 2010 owners who are looking to take that pedal delay out of the drive by wire system in your V6 GT or even GT500 and don't want to go with the alternative method, which in this case would be using a custom or can tune. Now, the throttle booster here will not be a tuning device nor will it add any power, but it will make the car feel much more responsive through different modes by boosting the throttle pedal voltage and removing that delay. Now price point will be right around that $300 level and the plug and play install will get a one out of three wrenches on the old difficulty meter from me. Take about an hour or less from start to finish and we'll show you how it's done later in the video. So again, the big thing to remember here gang is that throttle devices such as the Amp'd option in this video are not tuners and they will not add horsepower or torque. In fact, they don't even plug in your Mustang's OBD2 port. Instead, it plugs into the throttle pedal connector located at the top of your throttle pedal. This is very important to differentiate because it is a question I get asked frequently and people often wonder if this thing will actually add power to your ride. Now if this product does not add any power, then what does it physically do? Well, plain and simple guys, it boosts the drive by wire voltage, so the car in exchange is gonna feel more responsive with less pedal effort depending on the mode you are in. Now, in the older days, cable operated throttle bodies, there was no guesswork, right? You put your foot to the floor, it opened the throttle body just as fast. Nowadays a computer has to tell the throttle body to open the moment you put your foot to the floor through a voltage-dependent signal. Not only are these systems a little bit more complicated obviously, but there can sometimes be the slightest delay between your foot actually moving and the car reacting, and that's why companies like Amp'd here and other options have become very popular in the aftermarket with their throttle devices. So now that you know the basic idea of what these things are all about, let's talk about how the Amp'd model here is going to be a little unique. Now, this module is designed to be adjustable. In fact, you can adjust this thing in throttle position input by 50% to 100% depending on your setting. Now to help you with this, Amp'd does offer a switch to be used in conjunction with the booster itself here to make these changes a lot easier in on the fly. Otherwise, you're gonna have to pop the cover off this thing and manually use a switch on the motherboard here to select your different modes. Obviously not convenient, so that's why I would highly recommend checking out that additional switch here on the site for the Amp'd option. Now the throttle body can be used with other tuning devices according to the site. But if I were you guys, I would double check with my tuner first as to not cause any possible issues down the road. Now the device is backed by a one-year limited warranty and is not CARB certified at this particular time. So owners in California, just be mindful of that. But now let's get into the install as promised guys and to give you a better idea of how this one will go down here is our detailed walkthrough and quick tool breakdown. Man: Optional tools for this install is double-sided tape. Our first step is to get access to the top of our gas pedal. Now I have my seat all the way in the backward most position, so now we're gonna get to the top of that plug, release the clip and pull it out. All right, so you can see this is our brake pedal here and then our gas pedal right there. Right on top of the gas pedal, you're gonna see a plug with a red clip on it. All right, now we're just going to pull that plug off the top of our gas pedal and then bring our jumper in and plug it all together. All right, so what we're gonna do now is attach the female end to our male end on our jumper. Just gonna make sure it clicks into place and then we're gonna put our female end right on top of our gas pedal here and we're gonna make sure that is locked in as well. And make sure that your locking tab is facing towards your driver door, stick it on the top. So one of our final steps is to connect our wiring harness to our Amp'd throttle booster itself. Now, this can only go on one way. You'll see the two ridges on your plug and then the one that corresponds with the box itself and just slide this in, make sure it clips into place. Then you'll notice I use some double-sided tape on the backside of here. There are some provisions, some holes right here that you can use some sheet metal screws or you can nut and bolt it to your firewall. But this is a temporary install because I have to return the vehicle stock so I am using some double-sided tape. Now let's get this mounted to a nice flat space on the firewall, make sure our wire is not in the way of our pedals. So I'm gonna do a little wire management here and get some zip ties and zip tie this wire out of the way. All right, that's gonna wrap up my install of the Amp'd Throttle Booster for this Mustang. And for all things Mustang, keep it here at americanmuscle.com.

Works as intended
Works as described. Throttle is much more sensitive as in what use to be quarter throttle is now half throttle. While it doesn’t add hp or anything it makes your car feel real torquey due to the sensitivityHelpful (28)
Does this improve 0-60 time and if it does by how much?
This will give a more responsive driving style, and will certainly help with pedal lag, which will improve your acceleration time. We cannot guesstimate by how much, as every Mustang and Driver are different.
witch part is better this one or the Sprint Booster V3 Power Converter for a 3v
Where can I get a switch all the switches I find have 6 wires and the ampd booster harness only has 4 holes available
Does this work automatic car?
This is compatible with automatic vehicles.
Will it work if you already have a tune?
It can however please speaking with your tuner before purchasing/using as it does depend on the tune.
