Review & Install Video
Hey everybody, Alex with americanmuscle.com, bringing you my very quick breakdown of the Bama Performance OBDII Port Cover, fitting any '94 through current OBDII equipped Mustang. So who's this gonna be for? Well, the Bama Performance OBDII cover is going to be for any Mustang owner out there, be it Bama tuned or not, that's just gonna looking for one of those last, very small, but subtle finishing touches for the interior of their car. So this is gonna be great for the guys out there that don't wanna have to worry about when they take their car into the dealership, having that in the back of your head that it could potentially get flashed back to stock, which we can all attest at being a pain in the ass. Not only that, it might just be a piece of mind modification to make sure that you don't have any type of junk or debris getting into your OBDII port. Now this is something since we had this brought on has been incredibly popular. If you're not gonna take my word for it, check out the product page. Look at how many reviews there are, how many customer submitted images there are. It's a nice piece at a very inexpensive price. And while we're on topic, it's only gonna run you about 12 bucks. I'd honestly run that comparison to the few other types of OBDII covers out there, which, if they're CNC billet kinda like this one is, they have a tendency to be double, if not triple the price, and the plastic ones just kinda look a little bit on the cheesy side and, you know, not as inferior as a metal piece would. Now aside from the pricing, you're gonna be looking at a U.S. built CNC billet aluminum piece. It's gonna be then finished off in a red anodized finish. It is gonna feature the Bama Performance logo, which is gonna be laser etched in there. And you know what? To be completely honest, for what it is and in my hands right now as well as on the car, it honestly looks good, guys. Now I'll throw it out there just one last time. While this is gonna have the Bama Performance logo on it, there's a bunch of other companies out there that do make something similar to this which they're gonna feature their own company logo on there. And I will tell you, look at their prices. You're gonna see that they're gonna double, if not triple, or they're gonna be plastic, look that inferior and kinda cheap. You'll see it come under that pricing a little bit as well, just something to keep in the back of your head at the end of the day. So switching gears to the installation portion of the video or lack thereof. Don't kill the messenger here, guys, I just need to do my job and say that it's gonna be a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and less than a couple minutes here. You're really not looking at anything crazy. This is essentially a cover that's gonna go underneath your dash and stick over your existing OBDII port. However, I will mention that some of the reviews on the website have said that it's a little bit tough to get on there, but that's really just gonna be the nature of a piece of CNC billet aluminum. There's really no way to getting around it. If you're kinda concerned about jamming it on there, I would just suggest going carefully. That's really all it's gonna take. Okay guys, so just to wrap things up here, some final thoughts. If you are the OBDII equipped Mustang owner that's running a tune, you're looking to prevent your dealer from messing with your business, as well as just incorporating a pretty cool and neat looking finishing touch into your interior, I would definitely recommend checking this out for your car. So I'm Alex, and that's my quick review and breakdown of the Bama Performance OBDII cover, fitting all 1994 through current OBDII equipped Mustangs, which can be found right here at americanmuscle.com.
