Hey, what's going on guys? Adam here with AmericanMuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a detailed overview of the Barricade 4-inch Oval Bent Side Bar with 90-Degree Bends, offered in both the black and stainless finishes for all 2015 and newer F-150s. The Barricade 4-inch Oval Bent Side Bar with 90-Degree Bends is going to be for the 2015 or newer F-150 owner out there, looking to get some help hopping in and out of the truck with a unique set of sidebars like this one. Or for the guys out there looking to swap out their current ones for a very unique aftermarket appearance with the 90-degree bends. The Barricade Oval Step Bar will offer a more unique and aggressive look to the sides of your F-150 over the stock look, whether it came from the factory with the side steps or not. Now this offers a unique way to give you functionality and durability of the aid getting in and out of the truck, especially useful for the guys out there with lifted rigs. Now the Barricade option you see with me today is manufactured out of a 4-inch stainless steel tubing for extreme durability all year round, made of an oval bent tubing and 90-degree bent ends to give it a more unique look than some of the other options on the market. All of this also comes with slip resistant, very grippy, ABS plastic pads with raised grooves for extra grip, as well the black or stainless finish. Now, obviously I have the stainless finish with me today but a black option is available as well to fit your preference. So one thing I do want to point out is sometimes side bars like these are described as protective for the sides of your F-150. I also want to point out that I probably wouldn't rely on these too much to be protective for the sides of your truck as far as trail hazards go. But they will protect against small brush and even door dings in the parking lot. Overall, don't really rely on these to be complete side armor, but just what they are as protection against small things like brush and door dings. So price-wise, if you are interested in the Barricade 4-inch Oval Side Bar with the 90-degree bends, like I have here today, you can expect to be spending about $250 for the stainless option I have on the table and $220 for the black option if you're interested in that as well. Also, I want to point out, if you have a regular cab over the SuperCrew, the two prices will be slightly different. Obviously, SuperCrew will be a couple more dollars than the regular cab and vice versa, but overall they will stay in those price ranges. So the installation is also a big, big plus when it comes to picking up the Barricade side bars as they will not require any drilling or modification to your side panels. The pre-drilled holes in your rocker panels will be all you need to get the job done. One of the tools you wanna have on hand is a ratchet, maybe even a decent socket set.So you'll be mounting the brackets on the existing mounting studs on the interior wall of your rocker panel using all of the hardware provided. Once you get those installed, you wanna repeat for the opposite side as well. From here, you wanna install the step bar and the rubber gaskets onto place without tightening down the hardware provided in the kit too much just yet. So once you get the step bar into place and you have the hardware tightened down with your hands, you wanna repeat the process for the opposite side as well and then torque everything down to spec at 15 to 20 foot-pounds. Overall, you can expect to be spending about an hour or two max in the driveway at home. I would definitely give this one a 1 out of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter, simply because it is something anybody can do with a little bit of time in the driveway at home. So just to quickly wrap things up guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F-150 and you're looking for a way to get help in and out of your truck, especially for the lifted rigs, or if you're looking to replace your factory side bar with a set of sleek, unique, aftermarket ones, you might wanna check out the Barricade 4-inch Oval Side Bars with the 90-degree bends in stainless or black options, always available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
