Review & Install Video
What's going on, guys? I'm Alex from AmericanMuscle.com. This is my quick review and install of the Barricade Raptor Style Fender Flares fitting the 2009 through 2014 F150.
In this video, I'm going to talk about the construction and materials used here, as well as hitting on the installation a little bit later. But right off the bat, you're going to be looking at a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and you should have these on your truck in about an hour, tops.
So, you should definitely be taking a look at these fender flares if you're running a larger aftermarket wheel and tire, looking to protect your truck from any type of debris that you might come across in your daily commute, working on the job site, or doing some light off-roading. And last but not least, if you're looking to mimic the styling in the SVT Raptor, all without breaking the bank.
In terms of the construction here, guys, we're going to see the Barricade has these made up of a lightweight and durable ABS plastic. So, Barricade's then going to finish these off in a dark, OE charcoal style finish with a little bit of a texture to it, which in my opinion, meshes very well with the factory trim on the F150. Now, these can be painted if you'd like to do so, and that's going to be dependent upon the look that you're going for.
All right guys, so in terms of the pricing here, we going to see that these fender flares are going in line right around the $450 price range. Now, while this isn't at the top of the segment, there's definitely a bunch of other options out there that can easily tip the scales at close to $500 or $600. Now, in my opinion, you're definitely getting a huge bang for the buck here, being as this is going to be a sturdy and tough piece of equipment that's not only going to look good but protecting your investment at the same time.
All right guys, so taking a look at the installation here. Like I said in the beginning of the video, you're going to be looking at a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and you should have these on your truck in about an hour, tops.
So, getting down to brass tacks here, guys. You're definitely going to make sure you've got some basic tools on site, like a ratchet, basic socket set, Phillips head screwdriver. So guys, I do want to mention that these are going to come with an amber LED just like that of the SVT Raptor. And simply, all you need to do is just feed this through the hole right here, and then attach the supplied harness. Now, you can run these anywhere through a power source, but I'd suggest doing them with your parking lights.
All right guys, so just to wrap things up here, I really like this option from Barricade, not only because you're going to be mimicking the styling of the SVT Raptor, but because you're going be protecting your investment from any type of mud, dirt or debris that you might come across in your daily commute, running on a job site, or even doing some light off-roading. So, that's my review and install for the Barricade Raptor Style Fender Flares fitting the 2009 through 2014 F150, right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
