    Review & Install Video

These are the BBK Off-Road Cat Delete Pipes for the 2011 to 2014 GT, and these offer you a fast and easy way to affordably eliminate your cats without having to purchase an off-road mid-pipe. These will work with either the stock exhaust or aftermarket exhaust. So stock or aftermarket shorty headers, and the stock or an aftermarket mid-pipe, as long as it keeps the same two and a half inch diameter. The install for these pipes is very simple. You're looking at a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and you can expect to spend an hour or two getting these on the car. So the cat delete pipes will connect to the shorty headers and the mid-pipe, whether it be an X or an H pipe, it doesn't matter. The nice thing about this is you don't have to purchase a whole new mid-pipe to go catless. So you get to keep your current mid-pipe or upgrade later if you wanted to. That's gonna make this a more affordable way to eliminate your cats. These are Mandrel-Bent aluminized tubing. Aluminized tubing is nice in the sense that it tends to be less expensive than stainless steel, but it does have it's down sides. If you're shopping for a daily driver, or a car that you drive in all different types of weather, I usually recommend steering away from aluminized tubing. It doesn't have corrosion resistance like stainless steel does, so it's not gonna hold up as long as stainless steel would in those cases. But if you're not shopping for a daily driver, and you don't mind aluminized tubing, then I'd say that this is a good buy. Because these are cat delete pipes, I have to say that they're intended for off-road use only. You're eliminating your cats here and, essentially, what you'll be doing is opening up a point of restriction. That means you get more sound from your exhaust even if you have a completely stock setup. Your exact exhaust situation will determine what your car is ultimately gonna sound like though. The other thing to consider here is you will see a check engine light if you install these and you don't do anything with those O2s. A tune can eliminate the check engine light for you. When it comes to price, you can expect to spend just over $150 for these pipes. These are currently your only option when it comes to cat delete pipes. Your other option is to go with an off-road mid-pipe, but that is gonna be a more expensive than these cat delete pipes. As far as the install goes, this is a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter, and you can plan on spending an hour or two getting these installed. You can use a jack and jack stands to get this done, but as always, a lift would make the job easier. Once you get the car in the air, you'll need to unplug the rear O2 sensors, loosen the clamps at the rear of the cat pipes where they'll connect to the front of the mid-pipe. Unbolt and remove the cats after you pull the bolts from the exhaust manifolds. Remove the O2 sensors from the stock cats and install them into the BBK cat delete pipes. Place the cat delete pipes in place reusing the stock metal flange gasket at the headers, then connect the cat delete pipes to the front of the mid-pipe, plug back in the O2s, and you're all done. One other thing I will say here is to go back over the bolts once you've had some run-time in the car. Everything will heat up, expand, and contract back down, so you want to check for exhaust leaks and tighten the bolts. That's gonna wrap things up for the BBK Off-Road Cat Delete Pipes. As always, you can check them out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.

    • The BBK Off-Road Cat Delete Pipes is designed to be used with the stock mid-pipe however it can work with aftermarket mid-pipes. With the myriad of aftermarket mid-pipes, it would be difficult to guarantee fitment with all the different combinations of aftermarket mid-pipes.

      Great upgrade for exhaust flow.

Using the high temp copper sealant recommended for installation, I had no problem getting a good seal with the factory clamp. Noticeable increase in power and sound. May be a bit loud for street applications. My Boss is a dedicated track car and I'm getting decibel readings of 90-93 with these cat delete pipes installed. Prior to installation my readings were 87-88. So expect about a 3 decibel increase in sound. I installed these on jacks without a lift. Install took about 2 hours. Hardest part was getting one of the passenger side cat bolts removed since it needs to be accessed through the engine compartment above. Had to use a 1/2" ratchet with two 18" extensions to get to the bolt. The other bolts can be removed from underneath. As long as you don't need to pass emissions and plan on using short headers, I recommend this upgrade.

      Wasn't ready for that!!

I have a Flowmaster Outlaw catback exhaust. This part married right up to it using the factory clamps. Those that came with the flowmaster didn't work... The factory clamps worked perfectly. Keep in mind, the ONLY hard part about installing these, is getting the factory cats out. Ford DID NOT want them breaking free, so bring 1000 gallons of elbow grease and get ready. Once removed, I finished the job in what seems only 10 minutes. The new bolts and crush washers made it a breeze! Parts look great, and the car is LLLLOOOOOUUUDDDDD!!! Be prepared, it gets LLOOUUDD without stock components.

      good fit, really really loud.

I had no problems with fitment, i purchased 2 sets of Pypes before this and they were both terrible, these were right the first time, they matched right up to the factory H and my Corsa X-Pipe, i tried both just to make sure. I have corsa extremes axlebacks and stock resonators on and its really loud, it backfires alot, but it sounds mean, just be prepared because you are going to attract a lot of attention. Install took about 90 minutes, but i had already dont this 2 weeks before so i knew what to do.

      great for the price

These cat delete pipes are great. i use them for a full straight pipe exhaust and it sounds amazing. at first it was hard to install because after you put them on they leak. They leak A LOT. but as soon as i got them welded on i had no regrets. One thing you should know about them is that your check engine light will turn on in your dash.Even though it does have the hole to put in the o2 sensors they detect the as if the catalytic is running below efficiency. Just tune your car and it will go away. GREAT PRODUCT!!

Not worth your time or money

This product does not fit the factory h pipe and is in severe need of redisign. The 2 3/4" ball is not made to fit in the 2 1/2" socket correctly. You have to over tighten the clamp and even then it will not seal without using some additional sealant. I never did get mine to seal completely but got the leak to be barely noticable but at the expence of a day and a half of putting them in and taking them out repeatedly. Ordered 12-15-12

Not as loud as I thought

The pipes showed up to my house in 2 days which is awesome. The header bolts are a nightmare like everyone said. Getting the old cats off took up most of the time. I used the copper sealant and had a minor leak at the factory h-pipe. I rotated the clamps and it went away. I read a lot of reviews so I knew what I was getting into work wise but a lot of people said it made their car super loud. Maybe it's because I had a fully straight piped 4.6 but it's not as loud as anticipated. I have flow master axel backs and these cat deletes and it still has a nice low growl but not the volume I was looking for. Going to try an h pipe next but overall pretty happy. Need a tuner with these pipes or you'll throw a CEL. All in all very worth while and happy with the outcome.

      Great Sound, Poor Fit

I bought these because they were cheap and my future is still unclear with what direction I want to head with performance. I have the Flowmaster American Thunder axle back and it goes great with the deletes. It sounds great. The only problem is that they leak and the shop couldn't stop it all the way. It is not horrible, but it is a bummer getting something put on your car that doesn't work right. Overall though, I am happy with this product.

ok item--fit not bad, price not bad

Took some working to get them to seal with my BBK X pipe. Tone was raspy and chevy truck like before my tune and obviously the check engine light will be on before a tune. after a tune the note is nice and smooth. hardest part In getting these on is the passenger side top nut you need muscle, a super long extension and a swivel socket. pretty easy to install and could do in an hour or less, on the garage floor none the less since I've done it once .

      Do not buy!!

The ball connection is too big for the clamps. I am using a 3" flowmaster cat back, and it still doesn't work without leaking. Now my 2013 GT is sitting in my garage on jackstands until I can figure out how to make it stop leaking. Already broke two clamps trying to over tighten to fix the leaks. I may just put the cats back on.

      delete pipe

The pipes welded nice. They were easier to put in than to take the old cats off. You will reuse the old gaskets so if you do not like this idea buy replacement ones from ford. Overall nice product if you want to stick with shorty headers.

      Pretty Awesome!!

So I read the reviews on the cat nuts being a pain getting off. So a couple days before the install I started PB blasting the 4 nuts on the cats. Install day came and the two outer bolts were easily removed by my 1/2 drive Snap On impact with a couple of extensions. The other two bolts were removed with a little muscle on the wrench. I have the BBK X as well and used the copper gasket maker during install so I didn't have to go back under for leaks. Everything installed within an hour an no leaks. Started it up and it was super loud. I had the Hearthrob axleback on my car and it was going to be louder than I could bear. I had also ordered some GT500 axlebacks just in case. I threw them on and I feel it is a perfect note. No drone and calm while cruising but when you open up it sounds amazing plus the car feels stronger. Very good purchase.

      Amazing noise and power adder.

Along with these cat deletes I have installed pypes pype bomb muffler deletes. Before the cat deletes I was fairly loud, now when I drive down the road everybodys head is lashing in my direction. The car absolutely screams.. I noticed a small difference in power and a smoother shift but I have not had my car tuned yet. These pipes work great on the factory tune and were installed in about 35 minutes for 120$. If your looking for a power adder, cat deletes are a great way to go, and if you want your car to be so loud people hate you and look at you with envy, buy these cat deletes!! You wont regret it. Also, if your worried about drone, dont worry, with my windows up my 2011 GT/CS is relatively quiet in the cabin.

      Ok, overall

The ball and socket isn't the right size, so it's a PITA to get these to seal up. Save yourself the hassle and get 2 ea. 3.5 inch stainless band style clamps at o'reilly for $24 before you install. Break the ball and socket clamp stays with a sturdy flat tip off and remove them from your stick H-pipe and clamp them in place and save yourself the hassle. No weld required.

      GOtta love the catless volume

I won't beat a dead horse anymore. The fit to the stock headers with old gaskets are great. Now trying to mate up to my current exhaust catback which is flowmaster's outlaw series 3inch all the way back was terrible. I did the install with a friend took some time due to the passenger side cat's outside bolt is unreachable unless you go through the top of the motor. Once we installed and "attempted to clamp" they leaked like crazy. I drove it to a muffler shop and had it welded together...(defeats the bolt on / bolt off tactic for my cats). Will keep my stock cats but i plan on doing long tubes, risky and i have to commit. I can not tell you how many thumbs up and people comment on my car's exhaust note. WIth the BAMA Cam tune i finally have the car i have always wanted. It is by far a head turner. Drone yes super load yes but i love it and the wife got me these for my birthday. I have a 3 year old that rides rarely in it and he still naps.... I wish emissions didn't exist.
