Improve the link between the chassis and the front wheels with this pair of BMR Adjustable Front Lower Control A-Arms completed in a vibrant red powdercoat. Reduce deflection, maintain alignment and improve the overall stability and feel of your driving experience.

High Quality Parts. These BMR Front A-Arms are built from tough and durable 1.25" 0.095-inch wall DOM tubing with laser cut, CNC-formed steel plates. They come with pre-assembled, greasable, heavy duty 18mm standard height ball joints and greasable Delrin bushings that are fully capable of handling high loads. The A-Arms are finished in a bright red powdercoat that provides resistance to corrosion and wear.

Adjustability. For significant adjustability, these Front Lower Control Arms feature self-lubricating, zinc-plated, heat-treated, X-series, Teflon-lined rod ends that are crafted of strong chromoly. The combination of these rod ends with the Delrin bushings deliver a far more responsive feel along side greater handling and overall performance.

It appears the ball joints are welded onto the control arm. Do I have to trash the entire component when the ball joint goes bad?

  • The ball joints in the BMR Adjustable Front Lower Control A-Arms are serviceable. You would contact BMR for sourcing replacements.

Has anyone weighed these and the stock ones to compare? How much weight savings do these provide?

  • The weight difference between the BMR Adjustable Front Lower Control A-Arms - Standard Ball Joint - Red (05-09 All) and the stock lower control A-arms will be around 6lbs. The BMR Adjustable Front Lower Control A-Arms - Standard Ball Joint will weigh 24lbs whereas the stock ones will weigh 30lbs.

What exactly does the adjustment affect? What is the purpose of the adjustment that these A-arms provide? How do these compare to stock other than weight reduction?

XeroVolume

  • I just installed NON-adjustable BMR control arms with the BMR K-member, and the control arms are a little long. The ball joint does not sit directly under the mounting bracket, so the ball joint is angled inward a fair amount. I don't think it's going to hurt the performance because it's well within the natural range of movement of the ball joint, but it's probably not optimum. I would prefer the ball joint be sticking straight up so that's it's plumb/vertical. If I had these adjustment fittings and slotted holes on my control arms I would be able to make that happen. I hope this helps.
