Review & Installation Video

Review & Install Video

Hey, I'm Alex from americanmuscle.com with my quick review and breakdown of the Daystar Upper Dash Storage Panel, fitting 2009 through 2014 F-150. In this video, I'm gonna break down the construction and materials of this piece, who this might appeal to, what you should expect to be spending, and then last but not least, we're gonna take a look at the installation, even if we can call it that, which I'm gonna be giving a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You should have this on your truck in about five minutes or less. So if you're the truck owner that's finding that you're running out of usable space in your truck, be it through your armrest, your existing dash storage panel, or even down in your door cards, and you're looking to free up some more usable space, I would definitely suggest checking out this part, as it's not only gonna look good but it's gonna give you the ability to put more in it. Now if you're like myself, I usually carry a ton of stuff on me at all times, and this could range anything from a pair of sunglasses, a pocket knife, a phone, a wallet, extra set of car keys, and even a pen. So this gonna be something that's gonna keep all of your gear intact and not flying around your truck where it doesn't belong. Now, in terms of the construction and materials here, guys, we're gonna see the Daystar's gonna have this predominantly comprised of a black rubberized textured material, which, in my opinion, meshes pretty well with most, if not all, colors inside the F-150. I've got a gray interior and I think this meshes very nicely, as well as having a black exterior. Now, I do want to add, the one thing that I actually don't like about this is that this section right here comes up a little bit, and if you're walking up to your truck it will stick out a little bit. But having driven around with this and seeing how well it keeps all of my stuff here while taking turns, or even hitting a couple of bumps, it's definitely something that I wouldn't really have in the back of my head as it's gonna be keeping your stuff contained, where it belongs. So in terms of the pricing here, you should expect to be spending right around $30 for this piece right here, and in my opinion, that's a steal for what you're gonna be getting. You're gonna be creating much more usable space in your truck, you're not gonna have to be digging around in your door cards or anything like some loose change or your wallet in the event that you're gonna need it while driving. So looking at the installation here, just like I had said in the beginning of the video, even if we can call it that, you're looking at a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and about less than five minutes to get this onto your truck. And you're honestly gonna be taking more time ripping this out of the box than getting it into your truck. There's really nothing to it. All you're gonna need to do is essentially pull back the existing rubber piece, it's gonna be for your existing dash panel, set this in, give it a little bit of a press, and then you're good to go. All right, so just to wrap things up here, I definitely like this option from Daystar, not only based on the fact that the installation is gonna be about 30 seconds, this is gonna cost 30 bucks, but for the fact that you're gonna be creating more usable space. I can't tell you how many times I've been driving around and had either a phone, pocket knife, or some loose change in my armrest, and I take a turn and it goes flying all over the inside of my truck. So, again, for the ease of use and having the ability to put all your gear safely in a place where it's gonna be at an arm's length, I would definitely suggest taking a look at this product. So that's my review and breakdown of the Daystar Upper Dash Storage Panel, fitting your 2009 through 2014 F-150, available right here at americanmuscle.com.

Extra Functionality. The ingenious Daystar Upper Dash Storage Panel creates usable space in your F-150 for the small items that need a convenient place to be stored. The panel features a useful three-tray design to separate the items you store there, such as your sunglasses, smartphone, and loose change. The panel is easy to reach and provides a great substitute for windshield-mounted accessories, which are illegal in some U.S. states.

Maintain OEM Appearance. If preserving the OEM look of your truck is important to you, Daystar understands your concern. That's why the company designed the ABS plastic panel with a fit and texture to match the OEM dash within your vehicle.

Easy Installation. The installation is a cinch as the panel is pre-fit to your Ford dashboard. No drilling is necessary for this interior dash panel that fits directly into the dash.

Application. The Daystar Upper Dash Storage Panel is designed to fit in all 2009 to 2014 Ford F-150s.
