Improve Performance. Is your Mustang suffering from poor acceleration, rough idle or failing emissions testing? Then you may need to replace your old stock EGR Vacuum Modulator with a brand new replacement from OPR.

Reduce Emissions. The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system recirculates a portion of your exhaust gases back into your engines combustion chamber to more efficiently and completely burn the fuel to reduce your Mustangs toxic emissions. In this system the EGR Vacuum Modulator uses exhaust backpressure to precisely control (or modulate) the strength of the vacuum sent to the EGR valve.

OEM Quality. Made to the original factory specifications from OEM quality materials, this OPR EGR Vacuum Modulator is a perfect fit replacement that provides reliable maintenance-free operation.

Application. This OPR EGR Vacuum Modulator is a direct fit replacement for 1998 to 2004 4.6L V8 Mustangs, including the GT, Bullitt, Mach 1 and SVT Cobra models, as well as 2001-2004 3.8L and 3.9L V6 Mustangs.

        1 Top Rated Question

Why is this sensor not listed for use with 2000 V6 mustangs? I checked under my hood and the sensors look identical in terms of both ports and the plug in?

        • The connection point for the OPR EGR Vacuum Modulator on the 99-00 V6 Mustangs do happen to be slightly different than the 01-04 versions. It is this reason that this modulator would not work for a 2000 V6.

            Elec connector too small

Stop selling from this mfg.....the elec connector would not snap into place. Ran like it had a monster cam....tried to push it on further while running and it gave me an elec shock/burn. Bought an American made one and no problem. Waiting on return authorization.

            Faulty part Made issue worse!

The check engine light turned on, P1443. So I bought this part, thinking it could solve the problem. I was wrong. As soon as I started the motor with this part installed, it surged BIG time. I put the original one back on and it went back to the way is was before. I checked twice with the OPR product, it failed twice. It turned out being the vapor canister purge solenoid, check engine light turn off. This part failed.

Would give 0 stars if I could

The part came broken! My car is far worse with that part then with the 14 old stock part! The car is choking out and idling very hard. I got a P0402 code ( exhaust gas recirculation A flow excessive detected). So I called AM and they want me to spend more money to get a shop report so they can exchange it? That's stupid they are gonna say the same thing I did, all the while wasting money. I'm just gonna return the part and shop somewhere else.

            Faulty out of box

Ordered to replace broken one had no issues with factory one. Put this one on out of box started to apply the EGR valve bogging the engine down. Got one from the salvage yard no issues.
