Will I have enough clearance if I have a 1 inch drop on the back I have a 3.8 v6 03 I'm worried about drag

        • You will not have any clearance issues with this kit on your set up.

Hello, My son has a '98 Mustang V6 Coupe. As this is a new project for him, he is considering putting in a V8 engine later on. Will this kit work on a '98 Mustang Coupe with either a V6 or V8 engine? We would like to put a new suspension in it, but do not want to waste money on a kit that cannot handle the weight difference between a V6 and a V8. What are your recommendations? Respectfully, Ruben

        • This Eibach Pro-System-Plus suspension kit is specifically designed for the V6 model Mustangs. The V8 models have a different weight which these would not properly support. Secondly, if he were to put a V8 engine in the V6, it would be a lot of work with modifications such as getting the correct fit exhaust system, K-members, motor mounts, etc;. So realistically what you decide to do with the car is going to dictate what will and will not work with the build.

Do I need to get isolators or does it come with it?

        • It does not come with isolators. You can reuse the stock ones but new ones are a good idea since you are there. It also does not come with caster camber plates. You will be able to align it without them with a more maxed setting but the plates will give you better geometry.

Does this work with the straight rear axle?

        • Yes, being as the 94-04 V6 Coupe came with a straight rear axle stock and this is designed specifically for the 94-04 V6 Coupe, this will work with that application.

        • This would work on an 8.8 rear yes.

Do you offer a system like this for a 98 V6 convertible? Or will this system work? I gave the car to my lil sis and am going to make several upgrades. 1 answer
any other accessories needed Is there anything else needed to install this into a stock mustang, for instance any specific strut mounts needed that aren't included 2 answers
Install kit without lowering? I'm doing some upgrades to this car as I'm turning it into a semi-budget project car but its also serving as a daily driver most of the time. I enjoy actually DRIVING to and from where I need to go but the roads here aren't the best and my mustang is already sitting low enough with the catbacks(there are places already where I scrape if I'm not careful). So the question is, if I want the stiffened springs, stiffened suspension and sway bars WITHOUT lowering the center of gravity is that possible? 3 answers

            Rejuvinating an old daily

When we first installed the kit everything bolted up without problems except for the front sway bar. After talking to American Muscle and Eibach we discovered that the part number of the sway bar was for a Foxbody. Eibach had a new and correct swaybar shipped to us via express shipping in a day or two without hassle. Excellent fitment otherwise and outstanding customer service. The lower ride height makes the car look more modern, matching the ride height of a 2019 Ecoboost Mustang with the performance handling package. The handling of the car is GREATLY improved. The OEM springs and shocks were soft enough that it felt like driving a SUV. With this kit the car corners nearly flat and front end dive on breaking is much more reasonable. The ride is quite bouncy compared to stock, but the stock 15 inch wheels and tall tires likely contribute to this. The stock spring location on the front also does not help, but going to a front coilover setup was out of the budget. GT sized wheels and tires are one of the next items on our to-do list, and will hopefully settle the car a bit.

            Best Ride EVER!!!

Now as Mustang owners, we all know how sloppy our handling can feel at times, but after I installed this kit, I can turn on a dime no matter WHAT the conditions are! I don't have any of that scary body roll when I go to the track and day to day driving is a breeze! Love what its done for me and I would definitely recommend this kit to anybody!

            Worth the cash!

Put it on my 1999 v6 Mustang about a week ago, and I have to say it's exactly what I was looking for. Of course, the ride is a bit rougher now, but that was the idea. I can FEEL the road as I go through the mountain curves. Any problems with understeer or brake dive that I've had have been completely eliminated by using this setup in conjunction with a pair of SR Performance Caster Camber plates. If you're looking for performance handling in your little pony, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try.

            Much Improved Handling

I installed these items on my car last year, ordering them individually before this kit was available. We first installed the stabilizer bars to see the difference they made, then proceeded to the shocks and springs. The sway bars work as advertised, doing a good job at reducing body roll. But when we put on the shocks and springs, you could tell a much bigger difference. The car now handles very flat and overall feels much sharper and more responsive. I like the look of the lowered ride height as well; it's not TOO low but gets rid of the 4x4 look of the stock setup. The ride is obviously harsher now, but the stock ride is prone to body roll--so anyone interested in this upgrade should be willing to trade some ride quality for sharper handling. I installed the parts over a weekend with a couple of friends, but we had a lift and a good set of tools; it would be difficult to do on jack stands and without some experience.
