This engine was developed specifically to provide 2011 to 2014 Mustang GTs with the chance to enjoy all the performance benefits of a brand new long block engine. This Coyote long block is ideal for enthusiasts working towards customizing their Mustang for the track.

      More Power for the Track. The Ford Performance GEN 1 5.0L Coyote Long Block includes significant enhancements over previous Gen 1 versions, enabling it to breathe better especially at higher speeds. Some of these enhancements include larger intake and exhaust valves, revised intake and exhaust camshafts, and redesigned piston tops. Valve springs have also been stiffened ensuring valves completely close at high rpms. This engine produces 420 horsepower and 390 foot-pounds of torque, which is higher than the previous Gen 1 version. This engine’s compression ratio is 11.0:1, ensuring maximum fuel efficiency and combustion, for excellent track performance.

      Superior Construction. The Ford Performance GEN 1 5.0L Coyote Long Block features components crafted for reliable performance. Pistons are crafted from hypereutectic aluminum alloy for consistency, as well as forged connecting rods for strength. These 2 components drive a super-strong forged steel crankshaft. This engine’s aluminum cylinder head features a 4-valves/cylinder DOHC design, while the engine block is crafted from high-grade aluminum alloy. Finally, the overall engine weight is 444 pounds, and it uses an 8-quart capacity oil pan.

      Straight Installation. The Ford Performance GEN 1 5.0L Coyote Long Block is engineered to mount directly into your ’11 to ’14 Mustang GT’s engine bay. This engine’s engine mount bosses and bell housing mount pattern is similar to 4.6L modular engines. The installation will require expert-level mechanical skills and a few special tools. If you are not confident about your mechanical skills, professional installation is recommended.
