DO you sell the pod that the meter goes in? Or does it attach to the stock air diffuser? Love the gauge just looking to see if there is anything else I need to order beside the gauge kit Thanks

    Theo

    • We do have some pods that go into the air vent for some year models. Most of the pods we carry are year specific, so we would need to know the year Mustang this would be for. If you would like to contact us via email, chat or phone with the additional information, we would be more than happy to assist you.

What size in diameter is sufficient for the 90 degree elbow that everyone seems to mention in the comment section?

    Kegboss

    • Since the sender is 1/8" I would have to assume the 90 degree elbow a couple of the reviews are mentioning is going to be for a 1/8" fitting.

i was wondering would these be kool to put in a automatic or would it be dumb

    domlee

    • No, it would not be dumb. There are more automatic drag cars than manuals.

      Oil pressure gauge

Looks awesome. Fits the 3 gauge cluster perfectly. I haven't drove at night yet but it is super cool looking in the dark garage! I would recommend buying it.

      Works well, looks nice

It works. Trim is brushed aluminum looking, would like it better with a black option for appearance. Shows correct pressure while the factory gauge just hovers in the middle. Just a 90 fitting on the oil filter adapter for the sender to clear the rack on my 04 gt.

      Great Looking Oil Pressure Gauge!

My Base V6 Mustang never had an oil pressure gauge or a voltmeter, so with most everything else modified, I ordered these two gauges and an a-pillar cover. I had my mechanic install them as it required tapping into the electrical system. The installation was fine, but he was concerned about the brightness of the gauges at night. I pulled my car into my dark garage and the light level looked fine. The oil pressure gauge was the most expensive piece of the three, but now that it's installed, it looks like money well spent! Overall I am very impressed with adding these three pieces, and they are definitely recommended!

      Enlightening

The gauge itself was a piece of cake, but the Laguna Seca pod required drilling through the dash. More time was spent routing the wires and sorting out a port. Unfortunately, I was not able to tie into dimmer system and had to buy a separate module. Word for the wise, coyotes run a lot of oil pressure and track pack runs even more

      Nice Addition

Really nice gauge built in the USA by Autometer. Fit, finish, and function are superb. I installed this in a 2104 Mustang using Roush Performance mount that replaces the fins in the A/C vent. The install looks clean and professional. On my V6 Mustang, the install of the sending unit was easy with only a couple of additional fittings required. I haven't yet installed the sending unit on my F-150 5.0, since that appears to be much harder to get to. I may end up installing a remote filter and tapping into that to install the sending unit for the 5.0 in my F-150. The only downside is that the default backlighting is white, so if you choose a different color for the speedo and tach, this gauge does not match. Also, the backlighting does not dim as much as the rest of the dash illumination in my Mustang, even though I tapped the gauge backlight directly into the illumination circuit. Overall, a great item at a reasonable price.

      Oil Pressure Gauge Install

Took a little longer than expected; fished wires from air duct location through wire looms; one to the fuse box to the negative side of a fuse; via a vacant, but hot fuse port... used a spade and fuse adapter from dealer. The other to the light switch, and the last through an access hole in the firewall to the aftermarket pressure switch (included) which I installed with a brass tee... male pipe thread (to block) and the other ends female; one for the stock pressure switch, the other for the aftermarket pressure switch; used Teflon tape. With car on ramps you will lose a negligible amount of oil.

GREAT LOOK'N UNIT - LOVE TAT BLUE OVAL -

MY 2012 GT MUSTANG DID NOT HAVE THE FACTORY OIL GUAGE HEY LISTEN UP,,,GREAT UNIT BUT IT NEEDS A T-FITTING TO INSTALL THE OEM DASH LIGHT SWITCH,,WHY?? SO THE OIL DASH LIGHT WON'T COME ON. YOU CANNOT PUT THE OEM OIL WIRE ON THE NEW FORD SWITCH, IT REDUCES THE RESISTENCE AND THE NEW FORD GUAGE WILL NOT BE CORRECT. &..THE IDIOT LIGHT WILL COME ON ONCE OPERATING TEMP IS REACHED,,,LOOKS GREAT!

      Excellent gauge for the price

Gauge works great, had a shop install because I wanted it to work right. They supplied all the necessary parts needed as the gauge only comes with a sending unit and they said they needed adapters and elbows. Very happy. Looks great in my stang and looks awesome lit up.

      Looks and works great

I had this installed along with the matching volts gauge on the side bar pod as my car just came with base gauges. They look and work great, give a nice look to the cars interior and light up nicely at night, would recomend these gauges if your car did not come with them already.

Adds looks and functionality to your base model

Bought this and the voltmeter for my base car plus the A pillar from Speed of Sound for convertibles. Took a few hours because I'm old and not flexible. Only issue is addressed by other reviewers - there is no 90 degree elbow for the sending unit. When you have that you just follow the instructions.

This gauge looks great installed in my A-Pillar dual gauge pod. The lighting is amazing while lit up at night. I would recommend this gauge. Shop said it was a breeze to install. Just need a 90 degree elbow for the sender, which is cheap.

five stars for the gauge, but i felt that the instructions sucked and autometer doesnt supply you with a 90* elbow for the sending unit which i had to buy. its 3 bucks so whatever. american muscle delivers the goods for sure!
