What's up? Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is my review of these black headlights for '87 and '93 Foxbody Mustangs. So, this is the black version of the chrome headlights that are going to almost look like stock headlights with their three-piece design, but they're going to look a little different for a few reasons with this black housing here. There's also a subtle touch worked into these lights with an auxiliary bulb that acts kind of like an extra marker light, and you can see it down here in the lower corner next to your main bulb. If you're a hardcore Foxbody fan, then you guys are going to notice that these lenses are a little different than the factory headlights because they're smooth, so that's also going to make these look different than your factory lights. That's part of the reason why I like these after-market options, the Foxbody headlights weren't exactly to die for, and it isn't really hard to upgrade.Another reason why I like these lights is because they don't have a tinted lens, but they still give you that stealthy blacked-out look. So, because these headlights don't have that tinted or smoky lens, I can actually say that they probably do improve visibility over your stock headlights. Especially if you're still rocking the originals, because they're probably not looking that great right now unless you have some super clean, garage-kept beauty. But putting those gems aside, the only other thing I'll say when it comes to visibility here is that when you're installing these, you've got to make sure that you adjust and aim your main bulb, or else you're going to be looking down, or off to the left, or somewhere else random at night instead of forward.Install-wise, this is pretty easy, guys, and I'm going to rate it as a one out of three wrenches on the scale here. You're probably looking at about 45 minutes for this install. These do come ready to install, but like I just said, don't forget to aim them using these guys right here, and I'd also run some silicon around the lenses where they meet the housing so that you can make sure that these are sealed and you won't have any condensation issues with your new headlights. As far as price point, you're looking at between the $150 and $200 mark with these lights right here, which lands them on the higher side of the price marks when we compare them to the other three-piece options, like the Smoked and Chrome headlights. So, we have a higher price point with a black housing and a three-piece design, and a soft touch with a little something different with an auxiliary light, just to sum things up here. The headlights are one of the first areas that my eye goes to when I look over a car, and these are a subtle upgrade over the factory headlights. You can check these out, along with all other of the Fox Body headlight options, here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Grandson LOVE, LOVE, LOVES
My Grandson and Son-in-law are working on restoring a Mustang that we bought for him when he was 12 or so. He wanted these headlights for his fifteenth birthday so I purchased them. They came promptly and BOY were they his favorite present!! They were put on the car immediately and went in very easily!! They look GREAT !! He’s so proud and ready to be 16 so he can drive his beautiful car (without an adult) !!Helpful (2)

Going for a certain look
With all the headlight choices out there I wanted to go for a muted look. These lights have the black background and super clear lenses. They do not look like other styles.Helpful (2)

Decent aftermarket product
They look ok, the fit and finish is not there however. They do not look no where near as nice as the photo! Fitment on the small headlight is not great, as water tends to sit underneath after washing. Diffentatly not OEM fit.Helpful (7)

I can see clearly now
I had ugly beat down factory lights with 40 visibility. So I decided to get these and they are great. I love the way they fit and look. Really brings out the inner fox!Helpful (7)
Where do i hook up the black and red wires for the lilttle light
The running light can be spliced into the parking lights, they just need a power and ground connection.
What headlights work well with HID's I have 5000k HID's lo+hi. currently i have stock style reflector headlights and the different between hi and lo is barely noticeable because the reflectors just scatter the light everywhere. someone told me i should get projector headlights as these are meant more for HID's. i do like the blacked out look (i have a white hatchback with a black cobra grill insert, so if i get black headlights it'll look like a black bar across from headlight to headlight). plus black rims and black tint. out of the blacked out options, which would suit me best?
The Black Headlights are a stock style replacement. They are made for use with a standard Halogen bulb as they are a reflector style housing.
