Great plugs!

I just have a bolt on 3v 08 gt. CAI, throttle body and spacer, MSD coils. This made the car come alive. Works great, would recommend to those with minor mods

Ok to run on n/a cars? Although these plugs are designed for forced induction are they ok to run on n/a cars as well?

OutlawGT

  • These plugs are a colder plug meant for higher cylinder pressures. While it might run in your N/A engine, there is a possibility of missing under throttle or they simply might not make optimal horsepower.

How should I gap these to go with bolt on mods and a 75-100 shot of Nos? Or should I leave them like they come?

ZacharyD

  • The Ford Performance 0-Degree Spark Plugs come pre gapped, but gap should always be checked on a plug before installing. With the modifications done to the car, gap may need to be adjusted to accommodate for the nitrous, slightly closing the gap unless aftermarket coils are installed.

Can these spark plugs handle a 150 shot of nitrous?!

Gimpsta16

  • The Ford Performance 0-Degree Spark Plugs (05-08 GT) would be able to handle a 150 shot of nitrous. These plugs are perfect for forced induction or nitrous.

Are they helpful if I only have a stock engine? I'm planning on putting some basic mods in my 05 GT, but no Nos, turbo, or supercharge any time soon, so would they still work good with a stock engine?

Gilbert09

  • No they are a colder plug designed for forced induction applications. American Muscle has other plugs that are up grades from stock that are designed for your application. Like the NGK G-Power Platinum Performance Spark Plugs item #64066.

What's the gap set at? I mean right out of the box, what gap are these? Same as stock plugs?

  • .045. Supercharged applications like .032 to .035.

    0 degree spark plugs

These work well for me. I believe in ford racing parts. I was going through a bama tune and they had me gap them down to .028. My 2006 mustang didn't work very well at all. Sputtering and chugging. Had to get a new set. My advice, for cars with roush m90 superchargers, stick with the stock .045 gap

a must have for a supercharged motor

I replaced the OEM spark plugs in my '07 Mustang GT/CS with the Ford Racing HTO plugs mainly because I recently installed a KB Stage 1 supercharger. A cooler plug is recommended with the addition of a supercharger. Replacing the plugs was easy for me because I had recently replaced my original OEMs with new OEMs just for maintenance purposes. It's hard to say whether or not there has been a performance gain, but I installed the HTOs on recommendation from the tech who installed the supercharger.

    Great plug

Just got done installing these in my 08 mustang it was made in 9/07 and was still affected by the infamous ford plugs breaking the cutoff date for the 2 piece plug is after11/07 . I did everything I was supposed to from loosing 1/8 of turn and then spraying with pb blaster let soak for one hour then removed and my luck no broken plugs! I spray a 125 shot on them and they love it so far. Loaded with nickel anti seize an so it wouldnt happen again. Would like to say thanks to AM for plug reccomendation.

    Removing OE plugs!

The worst part is removing the old 3 piece oe plugs. Just follow the Ford TSB for 05 to 07 cars and run premium fuel and additive for the months leading up to removal and you'll be fine. The 0 degree plugs work perfectly with my nitrous set up.

    Sparkplugs

There's not much to say. They're sparkplugs. I do feel that by changing them that it does seem to start a little quicker and feels like I have a bit better performance. But that could be because I replaced the original plugs at around 89000 miles. If you have waited this long it maybe a good idea to pick up one of the loan a tool extraction kit and a can of carb cleaner from your local auto parts store just in case one comes apart on you before starting the swap. Other than that everything went smooth.

    GREAT plugs

EXCELLENT plugs! I put these in my wife's 05 roush, along with msd blaster coil packs, lit her car up like a Christmas tree lol. oh yeah she's ALL MOTOR :) these work great for good bolt on motor builds etc, not just cars with forced induction. I run similar plugs in my drag car GT500 (supercharged). I wouldn't suggest these for a bone stock car, but bolt ons, a tune, or more, they WILL light your car up!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!! They also last longer than most plugs, and if nitrous/supercharger is in your future, they are a MUST :)

Excellent Spark Plugs, But still the 2 Piece design

Only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is that it is designed from the janky 2 piece design that has had the common issue of breaking off in the block when you go past the 50K marker. Still good spark plugs but I HIGHLY recommend not pushing these past 50K miles. I replaced my stock plugs at 64K miles and the shop had to do a spark plug extraction on cylinder 3, so the shop bill ended up being $256 for the spark plug change. Major corrosion on all 8 Stock plugs at 64K MIles when I use Techron Fuel injection cleaner once a month and 91 Premium Chevron gas is the only thing that goes into a my tank.

    Rush Order Received

I ordered these for my Kenne Bell 2006 Mustang GT. My car only has 13,000 miles on it and previously had new Brisk plugs, but sat in storage for 2 years and were so badly fouled when I received my car, that it wouldn't even start. The favorable reviews helped me decide on the Ford Racing plugs. I requested 1-day shipping and received them the very next day. I can't say whether they added any horsepower, but when I added a 130mm Kenne Bell throttle body and tune last week to my car, I can say that I gained 15rwhp and 40rwtq using a Dynojet dyno while air/fuel ratio's remained solid and steady throughout the rpm range. I'm certain the Ford Racing plugs were a contributing factor to these amazing numbers and consistency after three pulls. BTW. my GT dyno numbers were almost exactly what the factory 2012 GT500 numbers are. Would definitely recommend these to anyone using forced induction. Special thanks to AM for their prompt delivery and excellent service.

    Ford Performance Plugs

I bought a used 2007 mustang gt with 103k miles on it. I knew it needed plugs when I bought it. They were horrific to replace. These plugs made a big difference once I got them in. The vehicle started up a little faster and sounded much better.
