    Coyote 5.0L. Now you can build a Coyote engine to your own power needs and specifications with this Ford Racing 5.0L Race Engine Block as your starting point. This is a special casting designed to support higher horsepower engine builds.

    Features. Low pressure cast from 319 aluminum this Ford Racing 5.0L Coyote block features a 92.2mm bore and cross-bolted nodular iron main bearing caps with thicker main webs for added strength. The head bolt size is increased to 11mm, so the use of this block on a 2011-2012 Mustang will require new head bolts. The Water jacket below cylinder bore has been updated to add more material for strength. Pressed in iron cylinder wall liners have provisions for piston oil squirters and includes blockoff plugs and dowels.

    Application. This Ford Racing 5.0L 4V Coyote Race Engine Block is designed to fit 2011-2014 GT Mustangs and can also be used in a resto-mod, kit car or a custom car build.

    Technical Note. This is a bare block, no internals are included. This block does not have a finished milled head deck or cylinder bores. Your engine builder will need to mill the deck and finish bore, then hone each bore specifically for the combination being installed.

    Maximum torqure ,horse power design to handle safely under boost ?


    • The Ford Performance 5.0L 4V Aluminum Engine Block can handle large amounts of horsepower, but will mostly be limited by the rotating assembly (pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft) installed. We have seen this block used in applications over 1200hp, though Ford Performance does not assign a specific power rating due to a number of possible factors.

    Can a 3.800 stroker crankshaft work in this block without machining?


    • The Ford Performance 5.0L 4V Aluminum Engine Block will require machining for a 3.8" stroke crank.

    • The Ford Performance 5.0L 4V Aluminum Engine Block will work with a few different transmissions depending on what kind of build you are doing. We suggest researching online to see what transmission would be best for you and what would be needed to have a proper install.

    Can i use this engine block to make my 2010 v6 a v8?


    • You would not be able to do a direct swap of the Ford Performance 5.0L 4V Aluminum Engine Block with the block in your 2010 V6. You would need the rest of the components of a Coyote motor to complete the engine, and swap it into your V6. This will be a large project that requires a lot of additional components and modifications to your Mustang. We recommend consulting with a shop before starting the swap.

    Will this block bolt up to a t5od trans


    • The Ford Performance 5.0L 4V Aluminum Engine Block is based on the DOHC 5.0L engine and would not bolt up to a stock T5 transmission. Additionally the 5.0L DOHC engines produce power in excess of a stock T5's capabilities.

      This block can be abused and then some I have this block with twin turbos and it gets to the 8th a mile in 7 sec
