Do these come with bolts? Also what is the installation process on these?

  • The Ford Performance Header Gaskets do not include bolts. Unfortunately we do not have an installation guide for these parts. I would recommend professional installation or having someone who has done the installation before assist you.

    Thanks for All the Advice

I ordered a set of BBK shorty headers and used the Ford Racing gaskets. The gaskets are way better quality than the factory or the ones that come with the headers. However, by the title, I wouldn't of bought them if it were not for all the reviews by the American Muscle customers sharing their stories about the replacing their headers. The gasket's fitment was spot on and there were no leaks after installation.

Should've used these the first time

I tore my Kooks L/Ts off to install JBA shorties in order to pass PA emissions. I used these with the JBAs, and they sealed up perfectly. Me, my buddies, and my Hot Rod cams missed the Kooks, so I put them back on using the Kooks metal gaskets, which left me with a bad leak on the right bank. I reinstalled the L/Ts using these FRPP gaskets, and the car sounds great again. Save yourself the extra hours and use these the first time.

    Good gasket

The gasket itself is great, does what it's supposed to. Install though was such a pain.

    USE THE FACTORY METAL GASKETS!

Learn from my mistake, use new ford factory metal gaskets! I'm using huge 2 inch LTH long tubes and I demand a lot from my pony. If you will or plan to ride you're pony hard and have other serious upgrades like me stick with the proven metal gaskets from ford (like the ones on your stock manifold). Get new ones! And sleep better! Your welcome!

    Perfect

Doesn't matter what long tube headers you get, GET THESE GASKETS. I've had BBK and Pypes and each time the supplied gaskets fail within a few months. Save yourself the time, money and stress and get yourself some of these and don't worry about it. Genuine is best!

    Don't Fall for Aftermarket Gaskets!

I bought a Nice pair of Pacesetter Long Tube headers, and used the gaskets that came with it BIG MISTAKE. Had to cut my headers from my midpipe and replace the gaskets, so why not get the best in the business? Ford. And these are much cheaper then from a dealership or anywhere online!

    Get these!!

After experiencing an exhaust leak from my recently installed BBK Shorty headers and supplied gaskets, I purchased the Ford Racing gaskets. During the install I discovered the the the passenger side gasket was burned away near the collector. I scraped and replaced both headers and reinstalled them using the Ford Racing gasket set and they were a perfect it. Check the photos of each gasket type sold on the site. You will notice that the FR set are the only ones that mat perfectly to the manifold. These are by far the way to go when swapping out worn or simply upgrading your gaskets during your install.

    Leaks

I had to retighten the header bolts several times before there were no leaks in the headers. I also had to tighten way past the suggested torque specs to stop the leaks. I understand that the OEM gaskets are better and are reusable but I cannot confirm from experience. I don't want to take the headers out again to check.

    A good gasket is priceless.

A very nice gasket that should equal or surpass the OE ones. You need a good gasket for headers so why not go with the Big Blue. Who wants to keep changing gaskets when they are not as well made. Can't go wrong here.

    Should have purchased at first!

Picked up a set of the BBK shorties when I swapped out the top end on my '06. Headers are GREAT, but the gaskets left a bit to be desired. I was very carful when installing them, actually put them on the heads before the were installed on the block, which made it simple to apply the bolts evenly and completely. Order a set of the FRPP gaskets, replaced the bad BBK gaskets, no leaks since! If you're swapping out headers, do yourself a favor, grab a set of these while you're at it, you'll be glad you did!

    seals as expected

Easy to use metal header gasket that doesn't fall apart like a fiber version can. If you can slip it over a few studs it will hold itself in place enough to put a header on with only yourself for help.

    A must for Headers!

Had a really bad leak from the OEM style gaskets on my long tube headers.. these sealed it right up and were easy to install since they're a one piece design! Plus I got them shipped in two days!
