        4 Top Rated Questions

Will I have to remove my front bumper cover for this or can I get away with just removing the radiator cover under the prop rod for install?

        • When replacing the stock radiator with the Ford Performance Radiator, you will need to remove the upper radiator cover, and unclip the A/C Condenser. Mustangs with automatic transmissions will also need to unbolt the trans cooler. Once these pieces are out of the way, coolant is drained, and hoses are removed, the radiator can be removed going straight up. Please note, Ford recommends vacuum filling the cooling system on these engines.

            Important upgrade for standard GTs

It was a direct swap for non performance pack GTs. The radiator is about an inch thicker than the standard one. It pushed the coolant reservoir back as well so be aware if you're running a Ford Racing catch can on the passenger side as it's a tighter fit. Watching my cylinder head temps and IAT, it looks like the car is trending it's temperatures cooler than with the original radiator. This is a really important upgrade if you're running a tune and CAI to help keep the engine and engine bay cooler to fight detonation.

            Big improvement over stock

I have a Roush phase 1 supercharger and this was a huge improvement, trans oil temp has not gone toward the yellow since even with agrresive driving. Ford dealer took so long to repair my car from an accident they installed for free but original estimate was about $393, talked them down to $285, ended up not paying for install.

            Perfect for factory replacement

Perfect replacement for the factory radiator if you break it. Hit debris on the road and needed a bunch of repair work done by the local Ford dealer, including replacement of the factory radiator, so I decided to upgrade to a Ford performance radiator instead. Given my heavy right foot and that I do a lot of city driving and it gets pretty hot in the summer months, I thought it wise to play it safe. The install is pretty easy/straight forward and it's not the most expensive upgrade in the world--I recommend it if you're road racing or dailying it in a hot climate

            Better than stock

This thing is very well put together and does a much better job than the stock 2015/2016 Mustang GT radiator. If you live in a hot area and daily the car or you track it, I would suggest upgrading to either this or a different aftermarket radiator
